Ok.....if you’re from the USA.
App works quite well (although does not indicate multi word answers) and is quite good at highlighting across and down clues as you move around. Content is the problem. The ones I’ve done so far are heavily, heavily USA centric and banallly so at that. Think quiz show hosts of the past, US breakfast cereals, restaurant chains. You’ll also need a thorough knowledge of US sports terminology and personalities. Clues sometimes also assume a USA basis (e.g. referring to congress rather than the US Congress). The narrow world view on display is somewhat nauseating at times as is the use of bastardised and US slang English.
Not bad.
Interface is good. Not brilliant and a bit fiddly, but not bad at all.
It's impossible to tell whether it's worth buying the full version as all the puzzles that come with it are hugely American-centric and written by the same person. It would be nice to have a bit of variety of puzzles in the limited version just to get a better idea of whether it would be worth it or not, especially as the full version isn't cheap.
Amazing, and it's free
I'm very surprised that this application is free. The designer has obviously worked very hard on this, making full use of the accelerometer to be able to see the whole table. Also using the ability to zoom in and out. Even if you get stuck it can give you some help.
There are so many word-searches to do and more to download if you want them. If you like cross-words I very much recommend this application; it is well worth the time to download and will last a long while in entertaining you as it will I.
