Why is it that at buyer has the ability to not write a review, which is akin to ‘no reference’ therefore appears unhappy, or even a bad one which isn’t true, and the seller has no ability to respond to that review for other potential buyers to see???The word count for your bio is so limited that sellers are forced to use up item spaces to put ones terms and conditions is as it won’t all fit in the bio letter count, and the more items you add to the page means it moves from near the top so doesn’t get read??? Not all buyers have integrity, and I’m sure neither do all sellers. But it’s frustrating when you receive a bad review despite already stating the postage price, and putting no refunds or returns, that sellers are put in a position to refund or risk a bad review, if the seller has found the same item cheaper, only not new, after their purchase of a new item from yourself. Pretending an item is faulty, when brand new. in order to buy the identical item after their purchase from you, enables the buyer to blackmail you into a refund, or write a bad review that you can’t directly respond to, for potential buyers to see. The buyer can also, when having received their purchase, either intentionally or accidentally, damage the item themselves, but pretend this is how it was sold, therefore not as described!!! All a little one sided me thinks ☹️

ABSOLUTELY DISGRACEFUL AND SPITEFUL APP

DO NOT GET THIS APP unless you’d happy with daylight robbery, terrible customer service , useless support staff and random account suspension or in my case DELETED ACCOUNT. like many others the pandemic has had a turbulent effect on my finances, but depop was a giving me some sort of income despite depop ( who take 10% of whatever you make + pay pal fees ) I’ve had the app since 2018 , over the years I managed to get 131 items sold and over 200 5 star reviews so imagine how much money depop was making from me. Today they decided to permenantly delete my account due to “ out of app transactions “ I know the depop rules from being a seller for years and I’d never disobey them. Common sense would tell the depop team that having used the app for many years why would I put my 5 star reviews and feedback at stake for the sake of an out of app transaction it doesn’t even make sense ? Depop take advantage of their sellers , are terrible at handling cases and give insulting automated responses which I can guarantee they will do here if they decide to respond Its a great app for finding bargains but you can find bargains on other apps , the worst thing is I can never use depop again not even to buy something You’ve now lost a loyal buyer and seller and to whoever’s reading this review take this as a message to STAY CLEAR OF DEPOP

Need Improvement

There are a lot of things I like about depop but it definitely needs some improvement. The newer update with the explore tab is useless, i want to be able to see the feed from those I chose to follow when i
I first click on not some explore tab with items i’m not interested in? it’s one of the most pointless and stupid features. Another major example would be people being able to tag an item as something it’s not so it appears everywhere! it’s so frustrating when you’re looking for something specific but when you search it millions of other things that don’t even relate to that item appear because depop allow people to tag something as what it is not, depop need to find a way to filter out some of these spam items as it easily ruins the shopping experience, I don’t want to sit for 5 minutes and scroll through loads of unrelated items when really I should search and the item i’m looking for should be the only thing that comes up. A good example of this is you type in Kpop albums and there’s people selling eyelashes and lip gloss? what has that even got to do with music and albums? Or at least make it so that when you block someone their items don’t show up? seems pointless to block and still be able to see that persons listings? Please fix it depop.
