Lets down a good product
Unlike other reviewers I’ve had no issues pasting text in, but there are some improvements needed. There’s no text width option and there needs to be finer speed control. The fast end of the slider is so fast you’d only use it if you’re an American advert voiceover artist doing the legal disclaimer about medication causing heart attacks. At the slower end I find it really difficult to get the speed exactly right. A ‘stepper’ or text style input with speeds 1-100 would be more user-friendly.
Difficultly pasting in scripts
Discovered that pasting in a script from word resulted in a blank screen when pressed play. Which is very annoying.
Eventually found a workaround which is to paste your script into a Facebook messenger message to yourself, send and then copy from there, which bizarrely seems to work when pasting from so many other apps didn’t work. But shouldn’t have to go to such lengths.
Terrible since update
The app used to work well. Until the update and revamp with new look and features. It is really bad now. It is harder to copy scripts is as they no longer hold format of gap between paragraphs and it keeps resetting when running a script and abruptly ending mid flow and returning to the start. Only way around is to pause every few paragraphs - this makes mockery of using autocue. Please just get rid of this version and bring back the old. This is terrible and unusable. I am going to have to find a different app to use with my promoter if not
