I’m visually impaired and this app has allowed me to read when my eyes don't. I have finally been able to read the books i thought i’d have to give up on when my eyes when downhill but this app has changed that! I do have a small recommendation such as adding a dark mode for people who have bad light sensitivity and for this who have a better time with the contrast apart from that I haven’t experienced any faults with the app that other users have mentioned.

Hello, sorry about the delayed response. I have put forward a feature request for a dark mode to be added, hopefully this may come in a future update :) In the meantime you can enable/disable a colour inversion mode on IOS by triple pressing the home button. This would have a similar result as a dark mode - Aiden (Technical Support)

So there are lots of flaws to this app: 1. If someone phones while you are listening the book does not resume afterwards & when you open the app and hit play it re-sets to the start of your listening session. 2. Sleep timer is still broken. Set 30min (for example) it does stop after 30min but when you go back into the book it used to (pre-update) re-set you back to where you were at the start of the listening session- but since the update it just brings you into the book as if it was the first time you opened it. 3. Some books take 3/4 tries at downloading before they will work. 4. Even if you bookmark your spot now the app re-starts as if it’s not been read. Lots seen to have these issues so rather than asking users to give specifics - fix them. I have raised the sleep timer issue in a live chat on Facebook over a year ago and still nothing has been done. Really unsure why we moved away from overdrive which did a great job without these issues.EDIT - added 3/3/22 - app now won’t let me download books! I have sent emails and no reply.

Helps my dyslexic daughter

This app has been a real help for my daughter who struggles to concentrate and read printed text. Since starting high school, she has a lot more reading to do and so She plays the audio version of the book and reads along with the text. She finds it easy to use and and has set it so the text that is being read is highlighted. She sometimes listens to the audio and reads along with the paper book too.It means she is able to get through books much quicker and keep up with her schoolwork. Her vocabulary is improving too as a result.

I have only just discovered this app, and can only comment on its abilities to navigate RNIB overdrive, which is what I wanted it for, and all I can say is well done Dolphin, because at long last, somebody has recognised the need to produce a simpler way of navigating what is One of the most cluttered apps I have ever seen!! Using EasyReader, I can now find books on OverDrive in a matter of seconds, double tap borrow and download them, fabulous. I have however one suggestion for improvement: would it be possible on A future app update, to include A link to the Wish List, so that we can add books to it? this would put the icing on the cake for this app for me.

Hi - thanks for the positivity and praise. We're glad you like the simplified access to RNIB OverDrive. Unfortunatley the 'Wish List' feature isn't available via the RNIB OverDrive API (the hooks they provide us), so it won't be possible to add this feature at the moment. Sorry!
- Tibi Library: High-quality CereProc TTS voices are now available for EasyReader users with a Tibi library account.
- Arabic translations are now available for EasyReader users.
- EasyReader is now aligned with Apple's new requirement to be compatible with devices running iOS 15.6 and later
