This game is amazing! It has everything I wanted and more! Sure, it may take a while to upgrade stuff but you do need patience.
Though, one time I had a good army and I disconnected, luckily, customer support refunded me and gave me some crowns!
I think since 2018 the customer support has got better (I played in 2018, then I deleted it because I thought it took too long to get money, though I didn’t realise attacking was the main way of money making) and now as well as helping you, it refunds you with stuff like planes and crowns. But, as people have said, some thing do take a while. Personally, my strategy is going on in the morning, collecting food from farms and stuff and doing some attacks, and upgrading if you have money. Then go offline for a few hours and come back to check on stuff, collect more, and do some more raids! Repeat and it is pretty good! It definitely is not as good as stuff like civilisation, but holds up pretty well for a mobile game!
My conclusion is, not perfect, but pretty good and worth your time (and if you want a little bit of money)

I’ve been playing the game for around 6 years now. Originally the game was very playable and enjoyable but gradually over the years the developers have introduced more and more garbage that is purely designed to take your money. Items like the stronghold, museum, council and drone crates, add little to the game unless you can afford to spend thousands on purchasing the top upgrades that make a difference. It’s now the worst example of a pay per win game that’s available, fuelled by developer greed. For example, on log in now, there is 19 special offers, 6 active events, with 2 event passes available to purchase. You have the crown purchase menu, resource purchase menu, 16 Marco Polo purchasable items, 8 treasure dock items and depending on your level up to 30 items in the VIP store for purchase. It’s greedy and ridiculous, but unfortunately the developers spend their whole time focusing on these sellable items events rather than the 100’s of bugs that exist in the game. Add to that an apparent tolerance of cheats and hackers and it makes the game nothing other than a bore and slog that only rewards the rich or hackers. For any parents out there, be careful with your credit cards if your kids play this. It’s a matter of time before they start purchasing items to help them advance or to speed up upgrades.
You are better off starting a different game, like clash, where the developers care about their product and make it more accessible to everyone

I enjoyed the game, it was fun at the beginning. I was very addicted and was always excited to play this game but it got to the point where devs are too greedy for money, they don’t put good amount of effort into the game and nothing new is added. In addition, the game starts to become stale the further you grow through the ages. For example I am currently at the global age. The upgrades usually takes days now. Just why?? It’s so pointless because by increasing the upgrade duration, the players become bored having to wait and so the game loses it’s addictive gameplay. I think, if possible, you could also try to upgrade the graphics in the game because I looks outdated and other games are expanding by doing this. I just really hate the duration of the upgrade (the ones with days or weeks). My last point is my dad is playing this game, he switched to the new iPhone and he lost his account. He has waited for 76 days AND STILL DIDN’T GET ANY RESPONSE!! ARE YOU KIDDING ME?? I honestly hate the devs. Nowadays, every games is the same, just pay to win, money thirsty and no effort whatsoever.

It’s like the devs are intentionally trying make the players bored by making the game pay to win. It’s so stupid.

The game had its fun at first but now.. might want to quit it of boredom.
