Ok but only for guidance

Fairly reactive but only gives problems and density for USA sites. Any other country just has to infer as no information is given. Ok if Facebook goes down but if HSBC does it of little

only US I think

might be okay, but I’ve looked through and I can’t find a single UK service not even big things like iCloud

Useful but find logging in difficult

I’ve used Down Detector for a long time now and find it very useful for quickly finding out whether any broadband problems we have are caused by our ISP rather than anything local.

My gripe is that I have never managed to log in to add my own comments. I’ve been trying on and off for several months now. This morning, after finding problems with my ISP, I decided to conquer the problem. I failed using my Facebook and Google details, so opened a Disqus account especially. This also failed: the log in button just leads to a web page with three little cogs constantly spinning. I’ve given up now but will still use it to confirm that any internet problems are not local.
