Examples for the functions the manual omits...

The PKP seems like a useful bit of kit, I don’t know about the other models - but the manual for the 24 in 1 does not explain all the program list functions... and as it doesn’t come with a recipe book to describe the main / common uses, I was hoping this app filled in the blanks... it doesn’t though.

It’s good that you can choose the product, to get some specific recipes for the model you have, but you should be be able to view a recipe / example for each program on the PKP, to be able to understand it’s proper use - and supplement this missing info from the manual.

When the user manual team were asked if it was ready to go to print they lied... as they missed out the pretty useful info describing each of the program functions - or even giving us an overview would have been extremely useful. If this info was available in the app then this omission could be forgiven, and would it would open up the possibilities of the PKP to users, who can then with recipe / usage examples to illustrate the functions, actually understand how to get the most of the product.

Not impressed so far …

Purchased this brands breakfast sandwich maker. Turns out any meat needs to be pre-cooked. This is only apparent when reading the instruction manual. It’s not apparent when looking at the advert. I just wanted a one-stop solution for bacon and eggs since sausage patties are unavailable not have to muck around with more kitchen equipment… Manual says an app is available, but this is questionable procedure just to get access to the recipes. I tried to sign up to see there are three boxes I need to tick, two of them say “I agree to this companies… “ What exactly? I don’t even know what I’m agreeing to or if they are duplicates of each other. I can’t read any policy or anything. One of the other options is basically to agree to being mailed with offers (hopefully optional), but never mind that for now. Actually, I don’t see why I need to make an account just to look at recipes. If you insist on an account then allow “Apple sign in”? I gather, unless I’m mistaken, this is a separate procedure from “registering your item”… which I may not bother with partly because and to be honest, I may not even keep this item… Nb: for some reason, even though I am putting in proper paragraphs in the right places, it is not showing up, so I can’t do anything about the jumbled look of this review …

Sketchy data harvesting with no content

Current version of the app now contains no content that can be accessed without creating and logging in to an account. Remember, this is basically a recipe book for your product that you bought. Even if you do have an account, the login process is broken and makes you reset your password - multiple times because the password reset process is broken too. At this point, it’s impossible to know whether there’s even any content in the app because it’s basically just an infinitely looping web form that collects your new password and does literally nothing else.

Update: it’s the end of March 2024. Developer says they’re super proud of having fixed everything. That’s nice, but as far as I can tell, they haven’t fixed anything. Still sketchy, still data harvesting, still broken and still unable to access any actual content. Also worth noting that a) I’m pretty competent with this stuff, I’ve tried all the usual fixes - multiple password resets, making a whole new account, deleting and reinstalling the app, restarting my phone, etc. and b) you can find all the recipes and product instructions on the website.

Deleted.
