Dropwave is a location-based social video app that lets you discover short videos left at real-world places and leave your own moments behind for others to find.
Each video is called an Echo. Echoes appear on the map, but they only unlock when you are close enough to the place where they were created. Every Echo is connected to a real location, whether it captures a hidden viewpoint, a shared memory, a recommendation, a celebration or an unexpected moment.
With Dropwave you can:
• Discover Echoes nearby
• Travel towards an Echo and unlock it at the location
• Record and leave short video Echoes of your own
• Choose whether an Echo is public or private
• Tag people in shared moments
• Save Echoes you want to revisit
• Share Echoes with friends and family
• Use Sparks to support Echoes and help them stay available for longer
Dropwave is designed to make places feel more alive by revealing the moments, stories and memories connected to them.
