Still woeful

My previous review after iOS 15 launched;

As the title says, I can no longer connect my iPhone or iPad to the software, making the hardware completely useless. It’s such a shame as the concept is good and when it worked, very useful for what we needed. The app was never brilliant and hadn’t been optimised for newer phones, but it at least worked. Now it doesn’t.

January 2024 update;

At some point the above issue was fixed or I happened to find a way to work around it. Either way the software is utterly dreadful with very little improvement since launch. The latest issue (now we’re on iOS 17) is text entry no longer displays so the only way to see what you’re printing is to highlight it. Amateur hour for a company such as Dymo.

Great thanks.

Works fine for me even with the latest IOS release. Would be better if it could be used in landscape mode. Disappointed no updated version for over a year though.
Before you attempt to set this up I would seriously consider reading the user manual that came with the printer to the letter of the law. This is not a simple plug and play. You need to configure the printer via a designated IP address. Also the manual doesn’t state that the computer it’s connected too to set it up has to be wireless to your home router. Once it’s up and running it works as required.

Awful app, Awful support, no updates

I would seriously consider a competitor printer.
I had a USB PnP printer which stopped working on Sierra/High Sierra due to lack of support for Mac. I bought the Mobile Labeller to replace, whilst the hardware unit is acceptable the app to control it is awful.

The interface is not sized for notched displays so you struggle to use the top left and right buttons without accessing other IOS features - one of these buttons is the rather crucial ‘Print’ button.

Beyond this glaring issue on basic functionality the app is full of minor annoyances, no ruler so you cannot determine label length, nonsensical QR/Barcode implementation & no auto sizing of labels to text length.

Honestly, look and see if another product will meet your needs.
