Bluetooth works Well…
Bluetooth between the printer and phone works very well, unfortunately the labels produced are a bit of a let down.
There are no fonts to chose from other than standard supplied and even X-Large is still much smaller than the size of the tape. Hopefully this can improved in the future
Badly let down by app
UPDATE: I’ve contacted support and they say that they are going to fix the squashed text issue by bringing out a new font in the app this month (May 2023), I really hope that’s true. This is a Dymo product, I’d expect a lot better. The labelling machine itself is great and easy to connect and use. The issue I have is that the app is far too basic. Very few fonts and printing seems far too unnatural and stretched. Many silly emojis that are not needed, but very few fonts. I can have more fonts on a Chinese model half it’s price. Come on Dymo, people are paying £40 for this stuff and a Chinese £20 labeller is better. UPDATE THE APP more often ! It seems to me like once you’ve gotten the customers hard earned cash that’s it, you don’t bother to make the app better.
Good printer, poor app
The quality of the printer is very good. It’s a shame the app doesn’t match the hardware.
There is a plethora of silly emoji symbols but something useful like the diameter symbol is omitted. Really useful to have a diameter symbol when sorting screws etc.
A proper choice of true-type fonts would be handy too rather than larger and more stretched. I doubt anyone from DYMO reads the reviews so thought it’s only fair to comment so you don’t get disappointed with a near £50 purchase.
