MeasureOn 4+

I use this daily for measuring and designing anything from built in wardrobes to bathroom design. Unfortunately the cloud service or ability to export files that can be edited on another device is missing (despite being worked on for sometime). As I use both iPhone or iPad depending on scale of job and what device I have on me at the time, I now have projects on different devices that can’t be sent or opened on the other. Not the best workflow when trying to amalgamate for quoting in a bigger screen. If they could get that sorted, it would be fantastic. Apologies if I’m missing the function other than exporting an uneditable pdf or picture.

After using this for some months on many projects in our new house, there remain multiple very frustrating issues and usability ‘quirks’. Development seems just so slow with minimal features enhanced. Simple things like entering manual measurements - if you miss the 0 before a decimal, the decimal is removed. You should just be able to enter .012 etc but you can’t. Lots of other usability problems and I frequently say to myself - “if only it did that basic function”. So it still remains a good BASIC app but could be considerably better if Bosch committed more (some) development resource to making it better. I guess as a free app that works with their measuring devices, there’s going to be limited cash or interest in making it better. Unlike a third party who sell an app.

Just started using this with a PLR 30 C and I’m very impressed. Connects simply and easy to add accurate measurements. Creating a floor plan is fairly intuitive but editing can be problematic and a bit awkward. The biggest issue is the lack of sync between devices so you’re left with projects on the device you used first and unable to edit on something else eg iPhone for quick and easy measurements but then unable to edit and refine on an iPad. I understand cloud and sync functions are in the works though. Really impressed with the PLR 30 C 😁

Since an expensive subscription model has been introduced (last couple of months) I now have to pay £8.99 per month just to export my drawings even though I brought an expensive laser measure just for this purpose. The app doesn’t even sync between my iPad and iPhone. This is a very poor upgrade.

Thanks for your response, but the features that were originally free, PDF Export and Logo were what influenced my (and probably others) decision to purchase a very expensive laser measure and these should remain free, sync between or at the very least save to iCloud or some other Cloud storage should also be included free, by all means I agree CAD export would be a premium feature and maybe anything new you develop but please reinstate a usable app.

There are many other apps that are more developed and useable for less money and I have found that some of those even connect the laser measure!

There will always be a free version of MeasureOn with its key features (such as sketching a room including calculating room calculations, transferring measurements from your laser or exporting individual elements). You can export single elements of the workspace via clicking on the element (room plan, photo, note) on the workspace and then click ""share"". Please understand that for premium features (such as CAD export, export of entire projects with your own logo or synchronization across multiple devices and cloud backup) MeasureOn PRO is required. For features like cloud synchronization and data backup you will need the MeasureOn PRO Cloud & Export subscription.
