Excellent

As a theory training tool it’s like having the most patient and non-judgemental tutor on hand 24/7. For example, one of the early lessons is aural training in intervals, which when placed in context with a noise note takes a lot of repetition to recognise some which sound very similar. This tool helped me to achieve a pretty consistent 100% score over a few days, and it took a lot of fails to get there.

The best if it wasn't so buggy!

This does everything you would want from an ear training app, is free and no ads! So what's not to like?
Well there are the bugs, and they can drive you up the wall. Sometimes there is no sound at all. More often the app-generated sound works, but the user keyboard sound does not (no notes played, just faint clicks). And the sounds on the user keyboard get randomly "stuck" (like a sustain pedal) so one note will ring out for some ten seconds.

The app seems to get confused by headphones, so it will work ok at first, then when you change your setup, i.e. connect/disconnect headphones, the keyboard will no longer work or there will be no sound at all. I'd say no sound is a bit of an issue for an ear training app 😬. Closing the app and relaunching does not fix it. What seems to fix it but not reliably is re-selecting the sound output source in the iOS audio tab (swipe up from bottom of screen). Oh and now and then the app will crash-quit. Maybe it is to do with my phone being an old 5 stuck with iOS 10.3.3?

Great - aside from a few bugs

A great app that is helpful and simple to use! However if you are using the guitar as a playback instrument (rather than the piano) for the melodic dictation, it does not let you hear what notes you are playing back to it, works fine with the piano playback though! I’m using version 2.17.2, so maybe it will have been fixed in the future.
There has been a few other bugs whilst using the app, but considering that it is completely free I don’t think I can complain that much!
Thank you developers for making a great app, without asking for my money!
