Been fortunate that Northern Ireland has had free use of the ESB chargers. This changed this week to a chargeable service which I have no issues with provided the cost is cost efficient. I have a hybrid car and charged my car yesterday on the new price plan totally shocked and disgusted to find out it would have been far cheaper to put fuel in instead of electric!!! Wouldn’t mind so much if ESB network was reliable but almost all chargers in my home town have been broke for months and the app is just poor says chargers are unavailable yet when you go they are working or when you get there and try to ‘swipe’ to use the charger there is a network error

Very poor service only tolerated as it was free but now I have to pay (which I don’t mind) I want a good service

Will be closing my account as soon as I’ve used my £20 initial payment (which will be 4 charges at most)

This app is horrendous. Firstly, you can’t just use contactless on their chargers (as is about to be required by law). The app is god awful. You have to go through all manner of details just to make payment, only to find it won’t work and you get stuck in a death loop. It doesn’t save details, doesn’t accept apple or google pay. If there are issues, you have to start from the beginning.
Their only memberships are 12mo minimum(!) or £20 min top up.
AWFUL. Predatory. Should not be allowed.

Had an electric car since 2017 and driven electric in 7 countries. This is prob the worst. Avoid if possible.

Chargepoint. Rejected my smart cars. Refused contactless. Had poor instructions. Super loud when charging.

App: no web version. Ridiculous long sign up process asking loads pointless info. Disabled auto complete on forms. No Apple Pay. 20€ minimum payment.
