Great idea to help reduce energy usage during peak times.

During “Equivents” you can manually switch off appliances or set them to automatically switch off using smart plugs. The only niggle was I often missed the push notifications of the start of an Equivent. They get lost in amongst every other app notification. However, I was lucky enough to win enough points in my first month to purchase some smart plugs and now I’m alerted to the event start by lamps switching off. Still hesitant to switch off the fridge freezer but more than happy to switch off other appliances. Other half bit dubious about eating in the dark but I’m enjoying myself!! Looking forward to earning more points and converting them into smart tech or shopping vouchers!

This app is simply genius!

I have a lot of tech in my house, and being able to earn rewards for turning it off up to an hour a time really is a great idea! Not only does it save money on my bill, but I also get rewarded for doing so!

You only really need a few plugs to get started, so there is an element of investment, but if you use these on high energy items like your fridge, dishwasher and washing machine etc then you’ll soon be quids in!

If you’re unsure, just try one plug first and see how you go, the smart plugs are a genius themselves so being able to link it to Equiwatt is the added bonus!

Great energy saving

Such a good app as it helps me save and monitor energy. It also gives me a chance to earn points to spend on what I want
