Alexa issues
All was well till about two weeks again when the cameras will not operate properly with alexa. I have done all the necessary changes and it still shows on the Alexa for about two minutes then the screen goes black and yet the indicator lamp on the camera is still illuminated constant and not flashing meaning that the camera is still being viewed , very puzzling BUT…. the cameras work perfect on this app and I have no issues with that at all. The app is easy to operate but I wanted my phone free so I could view the footage on an Alexa which now has failed. A little disappointed with that. I have even changed internet providers to a more powerful speed yet it’s still the same. Like I say, I am highly satisfied with the cameras and the app on the whole. But a bug check and a update to clear Alexa problems would be helpful.
Don’t even bother buying this brand
Ripp off for prices off the cameras as may aswell be a dummy, they never work when you need them the most on a live feed especially if motion is detected, not to mention if you need to watch on play back!
Don’t even bother contacting them ever because the customer service is useless as they make you feel dumb when especially you have qualifications in IT and know how to troubleshoot if having WiFi issues, they make out it’s you’re fault that “ you don’t have great WiFi” when you have the best WiFi in the area with high speed!
Then they tell you to keep reporting it so you do, before you know it someone on the chat says “ do you have a reference for the chat” at that point you say yes you do to get a reply of “ we have no records of you’re previous reports or chats with us please make sure you have all the information “ it’s like talking to a brick wall with this Chinese company I get that they not be able to translate well to English but the fact it’s been happening to me for years it’s clear they will never change, obviously con artists that want you’re money for a monthly subscription after paying out not only the price for the cctv it’s self then to pay out for an sd card of which it has to up to there standards and which is expensive, so save yourself some money and buy a different brand before they ripp you off

Recording in 1 hour clips instead of only when there’s motion!!!
Since the last update in December 2022 the 3 cameras I have are only recording in hour blocks throughout the day but not recording at all at night!! No short burst clips only when there are movements in the day time but hour long recordings even on the lowest motion detection. It’s 1 hour blocks whether there’s motion or not!! The whole point in me having this camera & paying the subscription is to save me trawling through hours of footage looking for the few clips that I really need to help me ensure the safety of someone!!! Would appreciate if you could rectify this issue with your next update! If not I’ll be cancelling my subscription & finding a better service elsewhere. I have already tried changing the motion detection in the settings & it’s still the same so the issue is at EZVIZ’s end. Why it’s not recording at night time as soon as the lights go out & the IR light is on makes no sense either! There is significant motion & movement in the room & none of it is picked up at all. I’ve tried all the usual resetting things & changing settings in the cameras but both have suddenly started this after the last update so it can only be caused by the update or something at EZVIZ end. Please can this be rectified as it’s imperative that I have working cameras for the safety of a person in my household?
