Good but..

Lots of potential here, but that potential has yet to be realized.
Graphically the game is pleasing to look at. Combat feels satisfying and the sound is all good. Where it lacks is content. Finish the floor and ‘win’ to be presented with some stats and that’s it. No back to menu, play again, increase difficulty, unlocks of any sort or anything.
It Needs...more. More variety of enemies, room types, random events, bosses, floors, miniatures, abilities, Just more of everything. I’ve won two times and basically have seen everything the game has to offer in 30 mins of play. A save feature would be top draw stuff too.
It’s easy to see what they were trying to accomplish and ,as of this review, have fallen short of some other notably similar games.

Needs Work!

An interesting and fun miniatures roguelike game. You work your way through a Slay the Spire style map, battling other fantasy miniatures. This part works quite well and is fairly addictive. However, the text is very small for a mobile screen. Serious eye strain. The game is also quite buggy and very bare bones. No kind of progression that you normally get in this style of game. No high score or run history.

Also, the game is incredibly laggy on my iPad Air 2. Runs fine on my iPhone XR despite tiny text as mentioned earlier.

With some improvements and inclusion of at least a high score table, this could be something special. Unfortunately in its current state I think I will stop playing it very quickly.

Misleading but could be great

Firstly this is not a dungeon crawler rogue like. It’s a flicking game using graphics of minis from tabletop games. They have stats and may trigger powers but make it too down and we’ve seen it before.

The only randomised elements are the enemies and rewards. The level is always round and frustratingly you can’t zoom out so aiming from the sides of the circle is tricky.

There is also very little explanation about what’s going on and how to play, no menu screens and when you beat the game you have to close it down to play again. Despite these complaints there is fun to be had and some nice touches such as upgrading units, but with a little bit of imagination this could be so much more - scenery, jumping units, more options, proper camera controls. It wouldn’t take much to make this brilliant.
