It’s OK

Well, I don’t really have any major issues with this app. It seems to do what it’s supposed to except transmit its data to the Apple Health app, which a lot of reviewers have already pointed out.

However, as another reviewer pointed out many months ago, all the five star reviews are blatantly, in-your-face fakes. They all have user names made up of a generic name like “Bill Gibson” with a random letter added to the end, e.g. “Bill Gibsona”.

Secondly, although the fake reviews are written in English, they are clearly written by people who are not fluent in English and a great many of them are simply utter nonsense. For example, one review (written word for word by more than two reviewers) states “Um-huh, its good! The stars are added to the explosion!!”. Three different reviewers state “I cant fall behind.” What kind of a review is that? Then, there’s the review with the title “App that prefers soft girls”. Really! If Apple were to remove these obviously fake five star apps, I guess the overall rating would fall to maybe one or two stars.

It does look the fake reviews stopped after the last reviewer reported the matter but Apple should remove the older fake reviews, in my opinion.

Excellent Product

Despite some complaints I have seen, I cannot fault these scales or the app to which they connect.
I have checked them several times against another pair of scales and they are always within a pound of each other. The biometric readings seem to be correct and do not jump all over the place as somebody has stated.
The only thing I can suggest if you are appearing to have problems is to make sure that the scales are on an even, level surface. And ensure that you stand on them fairly centrally. I have noticed that some people will stand on them one time with their toes hanging over the edge and the next time with their heels almost off of the back. Also, stand still and upright.

Ok, but questionable

App seems to do what it says, although I wouldn’t necessarily trust the biometric calculations as they seem to jump up and down erratically or are completely outlandish - weight is probably the only reliable statistic provided however I’m not entirely confident in the accuracy of the scales either.

As some other reviewers have mentioned, some of the conversions seem a bit inaccurate but as I prefer KG this doesn’t affect me. The UI ‘sliders’ are also unusually scaled, and provide a slightly misleading representation of your (questionable) measurements.

I’m not at all impressed by the requirement to sign-up for a seemingly unnecessary account. Almost seems like a subverted method to data-mine email addresses and passwords, maybe I’m just paranoid but this company does not seem entirely trustworthy, especially considering my off-topic below...

Off-topic but worth mentioning - I find many of the 5* reviews here to be suspicious nonsense, and are possibly spam reviews to boost the app rating, which is frankly despicable unless I’m mistaken.
