Description

This is a short but heartfelt manifesto about the difference between liking something on the internet and loving something on the internet.

It's also an experiment in a new format: a "tap essay," presenting its argument tap by tap, using typography, color, and a few surprises to make its case.

The essay takes about ten minutes to read, maybe less if you're fast. It's perfect for a coffee break or a train ride.

Look at your fish.

I will return to this. I will read it again and look at the fish.

I will also pass it on to my daughter to read and my son. It is something they should read and return to. Their generation will need to look at their fish more than ever.

Maybe a little ironic

I've kept this app long after first installing/reading it, and - perhaps ironically - I keep coming back to it and finding new angles. Brilliant manifesto, especially if you find yourself continually glossing over the everyday stream of *stuff* that pours out of your computer screen.

Between.

I have an iPhone folder called Books and one called Magazines. Had to create a new one called Reading just for this. Robin Sloan always manages to sit in between the categories. And I love being part of the audience.
