I have a fascination with moths that most people just don’t seem to understand or share. In comparison to butterflies, moths are despised for so many silly reasons that are often untrue. This game perfectly encapsulates my love for the vibrant night creatures and allows me to show others why I adore them so much. I often visualise my future being this way: surrounded by moths and the calming nighttime atmosphere in the depths of a beautiful forest
This game is so enchanting that I always return to it when I need a break, need to relax, need cheering up, or just want to do some simple research into the many types of moths that I can discover. It’s an extremely fun and simplified way of learning about them that makes taking in all the information about the myriad of flying beauties so much easier for me
Not to mention that the atmosphere of the game compliments the experience. The music is amazingly composed and could lull me to sleep when accompanied with nighttime ambiance, the perfect blend for me
The background is a nice layering of night sky and leaves that never take away from the focus of the moths, and I love the way that certain elements light up when interacted with I could compliment this game all day with how gorgeous it is and how much it’s taught me. I hope to see every single moth this game has documented

I actually downloaded this game after seeing it advertised online to help combat my Mottephobia. Despite the cute art style that initially drew me to the game, I didn’t have much hope and was shaking just opening the app for the first time. However, it only took a short while for me to fall in love with the game and become totally comfortable playing. The moths are too cute for me to be scared of! I love caring for them and watching them grow. I can tell how much love and thought went into this game, and I think the developer’s clear passion has rubbed off on me. I’m even thinking about downloading Butterfly Sanctuary at some point.
Obviously my phobia isn’t just going to be cured, but this game has helped me take a meaningful first step in the right direction and I want to thank everyone that helped put this game together. It’s helped me realise that my phobia doesn’t have the grip on me I thought it did, because while I can’t control my anxiety when it comes to real moths, I can at the very least appreciate the species and enjoy learning about them in a controlled, fictional manner :)
