Not there yet…

You would expect it to be polished on release for a premium app. I appreciate the work of the developer and would have no issue paying £5 for the app if it were fully functional. Other emulators (Delta) are free and provide a much better experience. Some features have been improved and added since I purchased, however I am now encountering new issues with the 1.4 update. Playing on iPhone 14 Max and had been experiencing low FPS and audio stutter before update but not constantly (had to tweak settings A LOT). Performance has suffered massively with new update, game runs very slowly and audio stutter is now pretty much constant. App also severely drains battery and causes phone overheating after ~20 minutes to the point I can’t hold the device as it gets too hot. Not sure how that can be improved on though, it’s a very intensive app to run (as to be expected). Quite a shame as this app could be great but feels like it was released too early, especially at a premium price point. Looking forward to future updates with hopefully improved performance and functionality.

Completely Featureless

Originally, I had believed that this app was just in early stages, and would quickly gain all the features in other free emulators and I had faith in the dev as they seemed to genuinely care, whilst I still believe the dev does genuinely care, in its current state, I cannot recommend this emulator. 5 updates on, and there are still no settings menus that arent clunky drop-down menus, there are no buttons to just return to the menu whilst suspending a game, instead requiring a complete stop and exit.

I believed that each update more and more features would be added to this emulator, but after 2 updates of basically nothing being added, whilst the menu is still in a very primitive form of purely drop down menus inside of more drop down menus rather than just a settings menu, I have lost all faith in this ever being a useable emulator.

The performance is still abysmal, and has gotten no better, and the most recent update, v1.5, has forced games to be run in landscape mode, despite portrait mode. With the frequency of bugs like this that sometimes render games unplayable, the level of performance causing any hint of a story in any game to be completely lost, and the complete lack of features added each update, I cannot give this any more than 1 star.

Great but…

I think this is definitely a good emu for your phone everything at least runs and it’s actually pretty good. However there are some problems. The 3ds emu isn’t that great (but I’ll let it slide as 3ds emulation on iOS is really hard), there is no iPad support, and it’s emulation other than 3ds is significantly slower than something like delta emu. 3 stars
