This app serves its purpose and using it is certainly easier and more convenient than starting up the desktop etc. However, I tend to find myself staring at the screen for inspiration to find my way round the app. This may be my failing as I have the same problem with some other apps. It seems that the simpler they are made, the less intuitive they become. One thing which doesn’t happen with other apps is the lack of basic text formatting: there is no uppercase leader in sentences; double-pressing the space bar does not produce a full stop; pressing the carriage return sends the message rather than creating a new line. Admittedly not the end of the world but these are now widely accepted formats and it does help when giving somebody directions etc.

This is an amazing app with an absolutely lovely community. This is an exceptional way to give away things you no longer need! However today, when I went onto the app, instead of going straight into my account, it took me to the sign in page. I initially thought that I could just re-enter my details and log straight back into my account however, I found this not to be the case as when I clicked the “sign in” button the app would simple not respond and instead say “please wait”. This is very frustrating as I still cannot get into the app. I have triple checked the details I have entered and they are 100% correct and have tried countless ways to try and get back into the app such as resetting my password through my email (I never got the email from Freegle to ‘confirm’ the password). After trying for what feels like hours, this is my last resort. Writing a review in hopes that on of the developers will respond and give me some guidance. Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you.

When you find an item that is of interest and click the profile of the person who uploaded the said item, you can seem to message for other items that are uploaded by them. It asks for you to do so, but it doesn’t let you.There is no way to bookmark items that you’ve come across but are hesitant about. So you have to message unnecessarily just so that you don’t lose it incase you do want it.When you are in chats and you hide a chat and you are trying to look for it again, you have to constantly forage for it going and forth clicking ‘show X hidden/blocked chats’. This is because every time you click on a chat that is hidden, rather than keep you on the archived section of chats, it constantly kicks you back to your active chats. The chats go by the name of the person that has posted; if you can’t remember their name, tough luck! You are click every one of them, going back between active and archived chats and scrolling up and down.

Half the stuff in my house came from someone on Freegle - and I have moved on so much stuff to others too. What a brilliant concept so well held together. I sometimes find the app tricky - it somehow seems a bit complicated. But it’s not really - it all works fine. And the sense of community and loyalty between other users (for the most part) is lovely too. I’ve met some amazing people and had some fascinating conversations. Given how amazing this app is and how long it has been here doing it’s thing reducing waste and helping people who need things - it’s just astoundingly brilliant and all on a shoestring budget too. You guys holding it together are awesome and thank you for everything you do.
