Worked really well

I posted my job and had a response within a couple of hours. The company that picked up the job was less than half the price of another company I had approached directly outside the app, so it seems the “name your price” idea and ability to connect to loads of collectors at once worked well for us. I also liked that the companies who use the app are all licenced too. So, really easy way to connect with reliable providers. My only downside was that the app was not clear on how payment would work. It says money is held on your card, but they had no card details and I was worried I was going to be asked to pay cash. That did not happen though. Once the job was done, the collector company marked it as such on the app and the app then gave an option to pay by Apple Pay. I suggest the developer makes this a bit clearer to users. All in all, I was pleased and would use this again for jobs too big for the council.

Love junk is NO GOOD

As a collector this app is a joke! They take 20% deductions and then you have to pay 20% that’s 40% before you earn any money after paying to dump of it is possible to earn any money!? This is causing tones of people to fly tip because of LoveJunk crazy fees and margins, they also do not look after the collectors at all, they only care about the client who is paying once they have been payed it is a different story, please be careful using LoveJunk I advise you look online for you local collectors as this will be cheaper for your selfs and more reliable… for example if you post a small rubbish collection on Facebook someone will charge you £50 to remove it however if you advertise on LoveJunk the collectors will have to add jove junks crazy charges.. Two types off people use this app, clients who want there rubbish collected and people that collect the rubbish.. have you notice that none of the collectors put reviews on this app? Not even on saying thank you I have got loads of work from LoveJunk? No? The reason for this is they are scamming all the business that work hard going around looking after there clients picking up there clients rubbish and they get nothing in return..

Hi. We’re very sorry to hear your comments. We work very closely with collectors on the platform and do our very best to be there for them and address all their suggestions and feedback with the aim of making LoveJunk right and fair for both collectors and customers alike.

We want to clarify that LoveJunk doesn’t charge collectors or customers any upfront or ongoing fees. The only charge is a 20% fee (incl. VAT) deducted from the collection price on successful collections. Collectors quote the waste themselves, we don’t control pricing. Customers can review the quotes and reviews of multiple collectors at a time and choose the best option for them. Collectors can plan their routes more efficiently when choosing jobs, reducing the miles driven per job and labour time required. This creates savings for everyone.

However, because customers demand reliability and a good level of service, we reserve the right to revoke access to collectors from the platform when they breach our terms and protect the best interest of other collectors and customers.

Straight forward and what I needed

The app is super simple to use. Posting a job is largely picture based so key to getting accurate responses is clear and informative pictures of your job. Within minutes of posting you’ll get offers and it takes no time at all to find the clearing price (pun intended) of your job with approved clearance teams. The team that collected my job were on time, efficient and courteous. Payment is dealt with through the app - the collector confirms the item(s) have been collected and through the app you agree to release payment.
This took away the issue for me of not knowing the size skip I needed or having to deal with multiple firms directly. Will be reusing this platform again most certainly.
