That's where GeoTagr comes to the rescue. GeoTagr tags your photos with the location where you made them (a.k.a. geotagging).
GeoTagr supports 6000+ types of digital cameras and geotags iPhone, iPad, Mac, Dropbox and Flickr photos.

CORE FEATURES:
- Record your location with an iPhone or iPad while you make photos with a digital camera
- Geotag those photos no matter where you manage them (iPhone, iPad, Mac, Dropbox, SmugMug)
- Support for JPEG and RAW photos
- Export GPX files (iTunes Sharing, Dropbox, Mail, browser)
- Import GPX files (iTunes Sharing, Dropbox, Mail, …) e.g. generated by a dedicated GPS data logger

EXTRA:
- Record your location with an iPhone and use those locations to wirelessly geotag photos on your iPad or Mac
- 3 recording modes on iPhone for optimal balance between accuracy and battery life
- Pause and resume when recording locations
- While recording, shows an estimate for the remaining battery time
- Background recording
- Track management
- Geotags photos on your Mac using the GeoTagr Companion menubar app (available in the Mac App Store for free)
- Today extension for quick access
- All maps have 3 modes: Standard, Satellite, Hybrid

Great little app for Geotagging photos

This was just what I was looking for, an application that continually records your GPS location which you can then use with various desk top applications to geotag your digital photos. I found an open source app called GPicSync which does this on a PC.

I just went for a quick cycle taking various photos at road junctions and once tagged they were all within a few meters which was excellent.

I think I will be trying to geotag all my holiday snaps in the future, I think a solar powered iPhone charger will be needed next :)

Great app for geotagging non-gps cameras. Really well thought out integration to make the experience as straightforward as possible. Love the watch app and Mac integration.

One suggestion - what about Siri shortcut integration for Start Recording (and stop plus whatever else the developer things might be worth having)?

Drops out

Used to be really good but current version keep stopping the tracks if you don’t keep the app active. Has also crashed while applying gps data to images although can’t replicate that fault. Is a very good idea and would recommend if the bugs where ironed out.
