Golf Rival - Multiplayer Game 4+

Most people are saying this is better than golf clash but as it is now, I can’t agree. The shot needle on this is a lot better than golf clash but the aim is more accurate on golf clash. What’s going on with the wind too? Sometimes my shot will have 10 mile an hour wind going to the east and then my opponent will have 2.3 (for example) in his favour 🧐
On golf clash the wind is the same for both players and only changes with club selection but even that doesn’t change direction, just strength.
Another thing that makes GC better is that when you pick a ball at the beginning of the course, you get to use that ball throughout the whole course. Not so with golf Rival. Tee off with the chosen ball then you have to select it for each individual shot.
Fix the wind problem, sort out the ball selection scam and this would be, by far the more superior of the 2 golf games (the 2 bests unrealistic golf games there are)
As it stands, this is a good game. If the mentioned problems were fixed it would be great and unrivalled

This showed so much promise in the early stages of playing then it seemed as if they’d run out of ideas. Was really intuitive and addictive then the games just started getting silly with no apparent way of working out how to play a level learn from others as was in the previous ones. It seemed everyone I was playing against was in the same boat too as after stage 7 I don’t think I saw anyone that seemed to have a game sussed.

I saw a previous reviewer say also that the game seemed really inconsistent with the wind settings and some club settings. The first shot you could have a really low wind speed then your opponent has one quadruple that!? Why not make it a level playing field? Tutorials only seemed to be available in the first few stages also then vanished. With the game not being intuitive in any way this is an issue and makes for a very frustrating and confusing experience. Also, up until stage 8 (the worse of all!) the games are all brand new each stage then they start mixing in with old ones from previous stages.

Spent a bit of money on this then ended up deleting. Would not recommend. Such a shame as it showed such promise.

Love the game, I never get into phone games but somehow this got me hooked for the last 4 weeks. Sadly Have started to lose interest...

For starters, I’m a bit reluctant to spend money on a golf game but it was fun, so bought a ‘challenge pass’ for £5, only to realise that after the quest season? ended I am expected to buy another to keep the bonuses. It’s only £5 but still. Wasn’t actually explained that I would lose it at the time of purchase so bit misleading. This combined with the fact that in my opinion many of the purchases are extortionately overpriced just makes me not want to throw the money at it. I could actually go and buy real golf equipment for the prices that are sometimes advertised as a ‘mega deal’ 😂 Im sorry but £99 for consumables on a pretend golf game is laughable and Fair play if you can afford waste that kind of money.

Also in my opinion putting is too easy, it’s impossible to miss any putting shot even from the outside of the green. So even if you do have good things and play well, if you get your ball on the edge of the hole and your opponent only just manages to get it on the edge of the green then it’s effectively a draw and goes to a tie break anyway. So most games just end up as a draw. Getting very monotonous now. I’m bored of drawing I’m too good to draw! 😤

So yeah overall good fun and great balance between reality and a game, but greedy prices and easy putting ruins it for me.
