Good On You – Ethical Fashion 4+

I absolutely love this app! It’s great for seeing what brands to avoid and gives lots of alternatives! I also love how you can submit brands to be added! The only things which would make the app even better is, firstly, more affordable brands, and secondly, for the information and grading to be updated more regularly. Due to people’s interest in climate change and caring for the environment, many brands have changed (or claim to have changed) recently and some of the information is from 2019 which means the brands could have gotten a lot better or worse since then so it would be great to have up to date information! Other than this I love the app and would definitely recommend it!

This app is amazing and a musthave. If you care even a little bit about ethical fashion then this is what you need, to be informed and spend your money consciously. I don’t think we all have the money / energy to fully get rid of all fast fashion and never step foot in a high street shop ever again, and this is why I love this app. With this app, I know the few stores that have 1 or 2 stars so I will avoid and I can still shop in 3+ stores to encourage the brands that are taking steps in a more ethical direction. And that is my decision, Good on you doesn’t tell you what to do, just provides much needed transparency. Because some really cheap stores are actually a lot better than some of the luxury brands out there, and that’s the sort of thing you wouldn’t know otherwise. So I highly recommend getting this app, and even if you don’t follow all the ratings, it gives you SOME visibility!

Thanks - this is simply great :) to make it even more great, it would be nice to have these features: a link to where you find (or cannot find) the supporting evidence to your research, so we can become more of an avid researcher ourselves too; a button on the brand page that I can press and send them an urging email to be more transparent (e.g. MUJI is listed as not good enough and I really want them to get better!); sort or filter the brands by where I can buy them (in terms of online and brick and mortar stores) AND also by where they are originated or based, as an oriental women sometimes it's hard to find a fit in western brands so I would like the search results be more specific. Overall you've been doing an amazing job. My comments above are more like a nice-to-have: I just want to see more awesomeness coming out :D
