Excellent app, useful in remote areas for proving routes
I have used a couple of similar apps, but have settled on this being the best for my purposes.
I particularly like the variety of base maps; the ability to download offline maps for use in areas with no cellphone coverage; ease of import and export of data; ability to keep the phone from going to lock mode when you need the route info on for a long time; ability to geolocate photos as waypoints (with a choice of file size)
I do a lot of driving off beaten tracks in the Arabian deserts for work, no cellphone service. This is a life saving companion, no question about that
Issue with recording and sliding on track playback.
Please can you enable this app to track when force closed (like some other tracking apps do). So that if it’s ever force closed it still tracks ?
Another thing is that the area at the bottom (height graph) where you hold and slide along (during route playback) is very hit and miss. It’s too fiddly and jumps around a lot. It’s hard to pull along to the start of the route and it’s just too inaccurate and imprecise. A better way of sliding to different points along a route is needed. Major issue with recording. When you hold down on the app icon and start a recording from there using “start tracking” the app does not start recording. Instead, it brings up a prompt for “Pause”, “Stop and Save” or “Stop and Discard”. Surely, it should just simply record. That’s what it was asked to do. Yet sometimes it does actually just start recording. Also, sometimes when i open the app and go to the map button it will say “resume” when I haven’t even been recording !! (Previous recorded track had already been stopped and saved). Why ?. It should say “start” not “resume”. Please fix these issues.

Fantastic App
I recently purchased this app for use whilst I am in Kenya. So far the app has worked really well. It is very simple to use and understand, smooth and love the accuracy. The features are brilliant. I love that you can change between lat log or mgrs grids. I love that you can place pins or waypoints, name them and the show on the map. The compass is brilliant and love the fact that it can self collaborate. The only thing I don’t like is that is that it doesn’t appear to be able to give BNG grids.
