Note: Many customers with high altitude illnesses or sensitivities, such as chronic lung disease, asthma, COPD, & emphysema find this app useful for avoiding high altitudes. It is also used by hikers and climbers who want to avoid high-altitude cerebral edema (HACE) and high-altitude pulmonary edema (HAPE). However, the altitude shown is potentially subject to large inaccuracies and this app should NOT be used as a primary device for determining altitude for medical reasons.

Love it
As someone who likes travelling, and hiking, it's of great interest to me.
The only point I should make is that I'm not aware of any way on the app to change to decimal coordinates. The degree minute second system is my preferred method anyway so it doesn't really bother me, but there are people that don't understand it and would always use decimal coordinates. Consider allowing the conversion in this app, or if the option is available already make it more obvious
Great potential, but disappointing
This app is over four years old and I’m surprised it’s so highly rated. It works well and I may buy upgrades, but could be far better.
You can share your altitude which is really just about promoting a link to download the app, no option to share location.
The app gives your coordinates, but doesn’t allow you to copy or share those coordinates as text, or to open the location in a maps app, or to save the location.
What is supposed to be the difference between GPS, map elevation, and barometer?! No matter which I chose, the display remained unchanged. I’m on iOS14, so maybe it’s not updated for that when reviewing.
Finally, having the coordinates is good (better if I could copy and paste them), but connecting to What3Words would make it far easier to identify an off-road or remote location.
I’ve now given up trying to use the app to work out my earlier remote location and will try to work out with satellite view in a mapping app. I won’t share this app on social media.
Very good and simple instrument
The only thing I would say is that, as it must be using barometric pressure perhaps it could show that figure, out of interest. I am always happy to pay the developer and support these apps on the basis that hopefully a few thousand others do too!
