Grammarly: AI Writing Keyboard 4+

Great!

I was writing a book but I’m not very good at writing but still enjoy it so I was looking for something to help me. I new what Grammarly was but didn’t realise it was free. I found out it was and got it straight away. From using it I found it very much improved my writing and I also very much liked how it tells you what age would read that type of book as I wasn’t really sure. My book I am writing has been improved so much and apparently looks like a book a 11 year old would read. So thank you to Grammarly for helping me on my journey to be an author as although I am more interested in the illustration part I still enjoy putting words to the pictures. I want to be a primary school teacher so to be able to write books that anyone from reception (ages 4-5) to year 6 (ages 10-11) can read will really help me to engage with the kids by writing books for them to read. Usually I write very young kids books but I decided to go older for this one so people at age 11 or just people at that reading age can read it. Grammarly really helped my on my writing journey and I’m sure it will help you on yours so please go check it out because it is free and if you don’t like it you can delete it. Great app but it is very American?

I love using this app but it is very American and this shows when it doesn't understand an English word and it wants to replace it with an American word. For example, the word Masters's Degree will want to put an apostrophe in the word masters and it doesn't have one and here lies the problem. On IOS it has always been problematic ever since I've been using the app, an example of I typed a paragraph and then I decided to change few words and restructure what I said if you delete a word the app doesn't know that you've deleted a word and when you type it adds the word from the point that you started to edit or restructure your sentence to thr word next to this. I shall explain if I said this and I wanted to edit this and then restructure what I just said and you edit a word for example then restructure it will do this “thenrestrucure” and it is incredibly annoying. I don't know if this I'd done to Apple or if this is down to the App it has improved over the years but it's still annoyingly there.

Brilliant App, not cheap, but wouldn't be without it...

This app really is fantastic. For those who have ADHD or are Dyslexic especially, and do not ‘see’ the errors in their writing, this app will help enormously. For anyone writing, it is enormously helpful. I took a shot in the dark when deciding to try it, as it isn't cheap. I am now into my second year of subscription. I think that it is overpriced, not for it's value, but in terms of where it sits in the market place. For that I am removing half a star. The other half a star I have removed as sometimes I wish to write a word or name and the app does not learn that this IS what I wish to write and is NOT incorrect. Along the same line, suggestions of inappropriate word replacements pop up, so the developers may wish to focus on the thesaurus and synonym aspect. I do feel that the price will hold back many potential customers. I would like to see a reward for continued custom.
