A New Chapter in the Night Chasers' History
A long time ago, there was a mercenary group known as the Night Chasers. Instead of making money, these heroic warriors went around helping those in need. During the war, they helped a great many people who were suffering under tyranny and injustice. However, in the ensuing age of peace, the Night Chasers were no longer needed, and were forced to disband. Years later, four young people - Zack, Lucien, Sid, and Odelia - decided to carry on their legacy, forming the new Night Chasers.

One day, Zack and his party save an Elven girl named Dolores. Suffering from amnesia, Dolores cannot remember why she has ventured so far from the Elven Kingdom – only that she has been sent on an urgent quest. Concerned for her well-being, the Night Chasers take her into their fold, leading them to discover an ancient and terrible threat to the kingdom...

40 hours in, and feel there is a lot more to go.

Too many games are simply too easy.
This one is on the edge. Hardly ever fail a battle, but bosses are challenging enough that there is a sense of achievement, and every so often, you need to pause and pay attention to what you are doing.

There has been no need to grind. Basic loop is move to new area, buy new weapons, armour, rings, and cards, beat a few bosses, repeat.

I have put over 40 hours in to this so far, and enjoying it enough, that I expect to finish it.

The difficulty has been gradually increasing.
It does feel like if you fail to kill a boss, you can hear your team to tackle them better.
Apart from twice wearing specific resistance rings, there has been no other need for this.
Hoping that the difficulty ramps up more.

Is this perfect? no. Do I recommend it? totally.
Have had more enjoyment from this than many AAA titles and ten times the cost.

Unacceptable iPad support

The game plays great. But it’s really unacceptable to have black borders on iPads with home bars, in 2022! The earliest home bar iPad was from at least 4 years ago. These include the most iPad Pro, the newer Air and Mini. It’s more bizarre when it’s perfectly fine in iPhone. It also doesn’t support upside down orientation on iPad, which is annoying for a portrait game when charging is needed. Fortunately these can be fixed easily with a few lines of codes if the developers care.

Try this one!

As someone who’s not generally a fan of match 3 or old style RPG’s, something about this one just works.

Perfect for short or long play sessions, deep and engaging combat that can also be played on auto pilot if you’re prepared to grind a little.

Story is good, somewhat poorly translated but that adds to the charm imo.
