Brightspace Pulse gives learners and their authorized parents and guardians a convenient way to follow coursework, deadlines, progress, and important updates.
Learners can:
- Access their course content
- View important dates and deadlines across their courses
- Manage upcoming and overdue coursework
- Receive notifications for Announcements, Grades, Quizzes, Assignments, Activity Feed posts, and more
- Access supported course content offline, including video and audio
- Participate in Activity Feed discussions
- Open Brightspace in a browser to complete additional activities
Parents and guardians can:
- View upcoming and overdue work, grades, shared Portfolio items, and classroom updates
- Receive notifications about quizzes and assignments with upcoming due dates
- Follow multiple learners from one account, when supported by their school or organization
Features vary by role and by your institution or organization’s Brightspace configuration. An account provided by your school, district, or organization is required. Parent and guardian access must be enabled by the learner’s school or organization.

This app is great but can we have the download feature on the IOS App, I have to log on to the website to download content and it would be a lot easier if I could download through the app.
Some aspects great some not!

This is the first I have used this app for my studies. It’s been a bit frustrating as some things work on the phone but some are better on the laptop. It would be good if you have the choice to tick whether or not you have completed a section. I had a read through some areas to look at content and then automatically ticks as if I have fully read. The chat function isn’t great as it is hard to follow the threads. I would look to use again and encourage other students but could improve!
Great but not adequate

It’s such a great apps for updates my studies on BrightSpace, it has a wonderful notification system and layout! However, some of the functions from the website are missing when you use the apps, i.e., discussion, chat, reading list, etc. as well as some digital bars don’t appear as animated as on website. You can consider and develop on those sides. In general, it’s a good apps. Thank the team!

It simply doesn’t work, never has. Advertisements all over the learning platform pushing to get the app but it doesn’t work. It opens a browser within the app, you log in and navigate it like the website. It doesn’t save the login. No notifications. Just using chrome is better than this. Support bats you back to the institution that has the D2L instance running it’s just poor all round. Multiple devices have been used and still nothing.
- Parent and guardian access is now available in Brightspace Pulse. Parents and guardians can sign in using the same credentials they use for the Brightspace Parent & Guardian app and access the same experience directly within Pulse.
- Improved organization search. We’ve updated “Find your school, institution, or organization” to make it more inclusive and help corporate customers find their organization more easily.
- Bug Fixes and stability improvements.
