I like this game because I like to design and decorate. The rooms are amazing, real beautiful furniture selection and seasonal decoration packages inspire a high quality approach of luxury living. I can try several colour combinations and learn from the ratings how it could be done better. The challenge is the limited budget. But it’s like in real life, eg you move to a new home and have to decide colouring first. Then you check how your beloved furniture goes with as you don’t want to buy all new. I like that you don’t need in general to decide freely in addition curtains, pillows, wall colouring etc as this would take too long to finish one job. I manage to play without additional money and can do sometimes 5 star ratings. But you need to select which home you create, just 1-2 per day possible. And so, have to select which of the seasonal decoration products could be bought to make the home nice. My average rating is 4.25 as I try with minimum amount to get a 4 rating to win each prize. That’s fine for me and ok as I also cannot spend too much time for this hobby. But yes, would be great to have access to all furniture and all the decoration for free :-) That’s why only 4 stars. But the game needs to be funded, so play it like this or leave it from my point of view.

I’ve played this game for years (at least 9 years) and it’s something I’ve found enjoyable BUT, as with most games, the developers have just got greedy. When I first started playing, you could purchase furniture and rugs with coins. You could also purchase wall art, table art, floor plants & floor decor but only with diamonds - not too much of a problem. Years later and now the only rugs you can buy with coins are the old ones, the newer ones you need diamonds for (so pretty much the majority of them). In addition to the above, you can now get hanging decorations, pillows/cushions, floor pets/animals, hanging pets, large floor pets oh and you can layer rugs on top of each other - but they all cost diamonds , you can’t purchase any with coins. These are all optional items but, if you don’t do them, you likely won’t score as high. You can win 500 diamonds for a 5* result (for info, a rug costs approx 2000 diamonds and you can only use it 5 times - all items can only be used 5 times before you need to repurchase them) but you’re unlikely to get 5* if you don’t do all the items in the challenge. They also used to do bundles you could purchase for real money, normally 2 a fortnight, now they’re just constant. Plus, all the challenges really need the colour schemes in these bundles, funnily enough very little you’ll have in your large inventory will go with the current colour schemes. Like I said, it’s an enjoyable game and, if money is no object to you, you won’t have a problem.

It’s a really enjoyable game to play, and if you go in every day to do the daily challenge and get your daily reward you can play it quite a bit without spending money. I have had it a couple of months and on occasion have spent some money to play more as I was enjoying it so much. However the other day there was a glitch in the daily challenge where it said I had none of a specific item, when I definitely did have those items and in the right size for that space (both on my iPad and my daughter went into it on her iPad and had the same issue) It had nothing to do with how the game generally works, with not all items fitting all spaces, which I totally understand. I wanted to flag it to customer service so they could investigate and avoid it happening again in future, but now twice they have responded telling me I don’t understand how the game works. I was only trying to be helpful, but them not reading my messages properly and being condescending in their response makes me not want to spend any more money on this game, although I’ll continue to play for free. This is one of two games I play regularly, the other has much better customer service if there’s any issues, which is always friendly & helpful, so guess which app I’ll spend my money on in future! Not this one!!!

Customer support terrible - and the reward system is daylight robbery.As other people have mentioned, you do need lots of diamonds to give you freedom for your designs. A good way to get them is to complete offers with TAPJOY. Yes they cost money, but you do benefit from them if it was something you were going to get anyway, but then you DONT receive the diamonds, and spend days having to chase it all up yourself with the tapjoy team (currently on my fifth day of backwards and forwards with emails) Providing proof that you’ve spent the money completing these. They want screen shots of you fulfilling these offers etc etc etc although at the time of completing orders they don’t tell you this so you don’t take screenshots - and half the time you don’t get the diamonds as you haven’t enough proof - it’s the only game I’ve played where you have to virtually beg for what should have been rewarded automatically. It’s a shame as this has been the best game I’ve ever had on here. But after just months playing I shall be looking for a replacement.
