As someone who watches anime a lot and can’t find the right place to watch it I always go onto illegal anime websites, but ads keeps on popping up and popping up which results to viruses but this app really helped I love this app it’s very simple we need to do is press that once you don’t have to touch again and it works smoothly. Too many problems - have deleted this app

Update to original review - I was unable to whitelist sites which meant some would not open. Others behaved strangely and had to be closed and reopened. When I tried to open the app to customise the settings it continually jumped in to a set-up video even though the app was already running. I have now removed this app from my iPad. Would not recommend.Original review - So far the app works well at removing adds. I often have to zoom into text on websites to read it and the ads then cover what I am trying to see. With this blocker I don’t have this problem.I don’t rate it as 5* as I cannot get the whitelisting to work. I wanted to allow ads for local newspapers to support them. The app seems to be working when I change the whitelist settings and save them but the ads still don’t come back.

Update to version 5.3, it fixes the backwards compatibility for iOS 12 or older. After updating, go to Settings app / Safari / General and enable all the app's extensions. Let us know if that helped!
Breaks Shortcuts App

I have been trying to use the Shortcuts app for the first time, but nothing would work properly. I contacted Apple support and was on the phone for a few hours, after which they asked me to delete my VPN profiles (which I use to connect to my company network) followed by delete this app, reset my network settings (so I lost all of my Wi-Fi hotspots), and then restart my phone. This fixed the issue, however I then proceeded to reinstall my VPN profiles and try the Shortcuts app again, and the Shortcuts app still worked. However, I then reinstalled this app and immediately the Shortcuts app was broken again. So for whatever reason, AdBlock Pro interferes with the Shortcuts app.

AdBlock Pro only supplies blocking lists to Safari and does not interfere with other apps like Shortcuts. Please ensure the app is properly set up:1. Check that AdBlock Pro is enabled in 'Settings app > Safari > Extensions'.2. Hit and miss

At its core, blocking ads works for the most part. It’s more so the other paid features I find hit and miss, such as ‘Hide Cookie Prompts’ - this one seldom works. If work can be put into making this work reliably, you’re onto a winner, as cookie prompts are probably the second most annoying thing (user friction) when visiting websites! For the record, I only use safari and all extensions are turned on. Would I recommend? Yes, the team just have a few things to iron out!

Cookie prompt hiding can sometimes be less consistent because websites frequently change how they implement those banners, but we keep updating our filters to stay on top of it.A couple of things that might help:- Make sure you're on the latest version of the app and iOS/macOS, as recent updates include improved filters.- Enable your regional filter (e.g. English or relevant language) in the Regional tab, as many cookie prompts are handled by region-specific filters.- If specific sites are problematic, use the Report Website feature in the app so we get the debug data needed to fix them quickly.Glad the core ad blocking is working well for you, and appreciate the constructive feedback!
