Trainer rather than tutor

This feels like more of a typing trainer than typing tutor. I have completed a few other free online courses so the lack of attention to finger placement for keys does not really bother me here - I was after something to provide better practice.Am a bit annoyed at the sheer number of made up words that are in this - and the very high frequency of some particular combinations. Reading the summary I was hoping for something more realistic. I am guessing some of the literature is about tattoos as that appears in every other sentence for me, along with things like etot, ttoteet, tata, otote and many other random words with these letter combinations (those 4 examples are from the last two sentences I did). I don't feel I mistype them any more than some other combinations but I wonder if the high occurrence in the sample text is skewing the data somewhat!Final gripe is that there are some swear words in the text - which was not great while my daughter was having a go - though they are fairly infrequent (I have noticed 4 occurrences over the last 3 weeks) As to language it claims to be US english but I have certainly noticed a few UK spellings like colour go past. This is not uniform though.As to its main goal which is improving typing speed I do feel it is helping here though it is hard to provide actual figures to back that up. The stats show speed and typos for every lesson I have done but there is no view of when the lessons were done, averages or average change over time. Also as my text does not include numbers/capitals/punctuation yet I am showing slightly faster in the app than on other typing tests. I do not know when those will appear - I have 3 stars on expert mode, have completed a few of those without errors but have not advanced yet.So. In summary it is an attractive app, that does provide some focussed typing practice. I have kept going with it after a few weeks and think it is helping, possibly 5-10% increase over that time. I certainly intend to stick with it for a while longer.
