This game is one of the few gems in the app store. The gameplay consists of travelling through the wasteland, visiting towns to loot up, and micromanaging your thirst, hunger, radiation, poisoning and other health stats, despite the game being very complex and there being so many things to consider, it never feels overwhelming as the games designed in a way so that you’re aware of everything, (main health stats are all shown at the top for example). Despite this, the game has it’s issues, first of all the combat, it shows you the percentage chance of winning, and how using a better weapon will increase your odds. And how much damage you will take for losing and winning, thats it. The combat could have been made into a little mini game or at the very least had some story as to whats happening. The combat just feels like something they added for the sake of adding it. Another gripe I have with the game is that after looting the first couple of towns, they all seem the same, going to the next one just has more buildings for you to loot. This quickly made me start to lose interest in the game since the goal I was walking to, (the next town) is the same as the last one, just with more stuff to loot. This could have been easily avoided if towns had some mini quests, or something else to do except loot and craft new things. Despite me talking about the issues a lot longer than I did the pros, I would highly recommend this to anyone (especially considering its free and in app purchases are not needed to enjoy the game). If you like apocalyptic settings, or survival games, this is right up your alley and something I suggest you play first chance.
