Well, I've used free prints a for a long time now and decided to give photobooks a try. The app is so easy to navigate and it's so straight forward that anyone can do it. All you have to do is select the layout of your book; there are wonderful themes and colours for the pages and cover. Then you have many options to choose photographs from your phone, like your gallery, Facebook, Instagram etc. I always get my images directly from my phone gallery as you have to bare in mind that the quality of images is lower once they are uploaded to social media, it may look great on the screen but not so good in a book on a larger scale (there's a pop up that tells you when an image quality is poor so you'll know). I opted for the free upgrade to the 8x6 (I think) and the extra matte cover, which is totally worth it, the quality is amazing and it's so smooth to touch. The inner pages are a high quality gloss appearance and very thick. I was so surprised at the quality and I can't wait to order another next month. My only slight criticism is the cost of postage, but the quality of the product and the speed at which it was received far surpasses the postage cost. I can't recommend them enough, both free prints and their photobooks app. 100% happy customer.

Disappointed and let down

I reordered a previous photo book and edited it as a new gift for a new recipient. At the time of order, the book was correct. However, when the order was confirmed and I was able to preview it, the back cover had the wrong photo on it, which showed the previous child, not the current recipient. I contacted Photobooks and spoke to an AI adviser who confirmed a new one would be sent out and they also passed on to my query to an ‘actual’ person. No replacement book was received so I emailed them, created and edited the book again and the same thing happened. Customer service were not interested and asked for evidence, which I provided by return, and I was told to create and edit the book again. The same glitch meant that the book was still wrong so I cancelled again and reached out. No real resolution was suggested other than uninstalling the app, reinstalling and starting the whole book from scratch, rather than editing the previous job, which I was advised I would probably lose anyway. Add to that the fact that I had paid initially for a rush job as I wanted to give this gift on a given day and more than 3 weeks on, I feel no closer to getting the product and I have been advised that I will need to pay in full for the item should I decide to remake it, even though my last payment is still pending a refund. I have ordered many items from Photobooks in the past over a number of years which I have always been pleased with but on this occasion I feel frustrated and let down. Customer service is non existent.

When offering a WYSIWYG service, we always depend on the device and what is happening while the app works with it. This is a specific and unique issue and we can only explore all options and possibilities to make a suggestion. We can't operate your device and run tests on it personally. However, we did address your concerns efficiently and explained what occurs might be due to cache. The only option to prevent any reoccurrence is indeed not to reuse the same design. While inconveniencing, this is a real solution and the best one taking into account the reality of mobile app services. We accept your 1-star review after multiple successful orders with our service and are hoping the positives will also be taken into consideration should you decide to review again in the future. Was a 1 year anniversary gift for my boyfriend- I spent months putting together all our memories and days-out into this book. The app is clear and easy to use, I had no issues putting my photos in, cropping them as I wanted, choosing the layout, selecting font for text and page background colour, etc etc. I was really skeptical about how the quality would be but when it arrived I cried from how beautiful and amazing it looked. I did spend extra for the photo quality upgrade, and to make it an 8x8 hardback instead. I was worried the photos would be tiny on the pages where I’d packed loads in, but it was the perfect size with none of the photos being too small at all. It was also 49p for each extra page I chose to add after the free ones, and delivery cost me £7, so I ended up spending £40 in total. It arrived less than a week after I ordered it. Everyone who saw the book said it was well worth the price and even asked for the app so that they could make their own. Highly recommend, and I will be making more in the future :)

A great idea for Christmas

I did the first book on myself to get the hang of it, I messed up a page with a few heads cut off on one page. I didn't Adjust the pictures properly and I didn't realise you have to save it.. ( Totally my fault ) I did ask if it could be changed but because it's done through an App they said it couldn't. I ordered a hard book which in my opinion is better than the soft book, I think it's Worth paying that little bit extra.When I did the second book I took more time and didn't rush it, just wish I did it in a hard book because it looks so much better more professional .. All the pictures came out as I wanted, "success".The third book also in a soft back, pictures great.. Still I think it looks better in a hard book.Then I played around with the pictures 3 and 4 on a page it looks less boring. Seeing one picture on every page is good,but for me it was more fun doing pictures that compliment each other or pictures in the same scene.To be honest I think this is great the books are finished well and you can put captions on if you want, I haven't mastered how to change a caption on the front of the book but I did have fun making them.. One book is a book of my friend with her partner, and friends that go back 10 year I called it "A Look Back In Life" I really hope she likes it. the other I called it Grandma loves me a look back in the pictures first born to present day.... About to do my 4 th
A great idea for Christmas
