For anyone struggling with (and/or stressing about) getting an “insufficient signal quality” notice during certain periods of time, where changes in position/pressure/etc don’t solve the problem: I’ve finally figured out that it happens when my hands are too cold! (Not uncommon for people with circulation issues, even when indoors/in moderate temperatures). Try putting your hands under warm water for a few minutes first. Other than that, does what it says on the tin and generally easy to use.

I don’t often leave reviews-nor do I purchase apps, however this came in very handy today, I could feel something different about my heart beat so googled how to check my pulse, this app appeared and seemed worth a try, detected an irregularity in my rhythm, I tested my results against a family member who also used the app and theirs showed as fine, I promptly called 111 and was seen within the hour, after an ECG test, bloods and X-Ray on my chest they detected ectopic beats in my heart, this app detected the same results in rhythm but was not accurate in diagnoses, it suggested “Atrial Fibrillation”, the hospital diagnosed as “Ectopic Beats” None the less, the cardiograph readings were accurate and pushed me to going to the hospital for treatment. Thank you developers of this app I appreciate it.

I have to say I was disturbed that my mum who has just had a pacemaker fitted was relying on me to. Undertake this . I have no medical experience and not very good when it comes to applications on a smart phone . I just use what I need . My mum is 83 year old and I look after their medication needs and hospital appointments . I was a bit put out when I was contacted by the nurse to undertake this task before her virtual consultation . However what an App ! I was blown away. So simple and easy to use . Well done. Even though understand like my mum not every one is technology minded but as her daughter I feel I am also in control as I see the results of the report within 10 mins meaning I can see what affects her heart rate and then have the questions for the consultant . Great work . Blood pressure one would be good as well.

I downloaded this after searching on the App Store. It says in app purchases but gives no indication that to use you need to sign up to a regular subscription. Offers a free 3 day trial, but very annoying to find that after setting up an account and giving my details I can only access this ‘free’ trial by giving my payment details. I’ve also been sent a ‘you’re nearly ready’ email telling me how to start my ‘free’ trial and again only allowing this once I’ve signed up. I’m happy to consider paying for a good product, however I’ve deleted this app without being able to check it out. If you want people to try your product free then make the trial free. This is at best bad advertising and at worst an actual scam to get personal details - be more honest and you might get more customers. I’m happy to consider a subscription service for a good product but

Contraindications The FibriCheck Mobile Application is not intended to be used by all individuals: - Individuals under the age of 22. - Individuals with conditions causing tremors or the inability to hold their hand still for at least 60 seconds. A measurement cannot be recorded or processed accurately in case of excessive motion. - Individuals with cardiac pacemakers, ICDs, or other implantable electronic devices that control the natural heart rhythm. - Individuals with reduced blood flow or very thick or hard skin on their fingertips due to, for example, perniosis or callus formation. This will hinder the FibriCheck Mobile Application’s ability to measure blood volume changes in tiny vessels.
Warnings - The FibriCheck Mobile Application cannot be used to detect heart attacks or ischemic heart conditions. If you experience chest pain, pressure, tightness, or what you think is a heart attack, call emergency services. - A complete diagnosis cannot be made based on the results in the FibriCheck Mobile Application alone.
