Learn Points of Sail, Apparent Wind, Sail Trim, Tacking and Jibing, Rules of the Road, and Docking. Then, put it all together when you sail around a course against the clock in the Sailing module.
Sailing Challenge combines the most innovative thinking in the digital education field with ASA’s experience in teaching sailing to create a game that lets players climb aboard, take control of the tiller in one hand and the mainsheet in the other, and sail off on a virtual sea of fun. When the ASA says the fun starts here, we really mean it!
The individual elements of sailing are broken down and seem simple enough in isolation. But the real skill comes from spinning all those plates at once. This app is a great way to practice without getting wet. The only thing I’d like to see added would be the effects of waves/current/tide. As the water is totally flat.

Great game helpful with my day slippers and sailing in general but needs more types of vessels to be able to use this includes sailing dingy’s, cruisers, yaughts ect also would be better if the tide had its natural affect to a craft were if you’d vessel has come to a complete stop you would be carried by the tide and tide tacking and how to deal and counter with the tide and talk about the ebb of a tide apart from that it is amazing help with my sailing
Keep refreshing sailing knowledge at home

I did the basic RYA sailing course a few years ago and this is a way to keep refreshed and practise the techniques particularly about sail trim and wind angles. Even if you’ve never done the course you can learn in a fun way. It’s the only app I’ve paid for and worth every penny
Breaks monotony of lockdown!
Travelling paddler
I sail a 16 foot Bermudan rigged sailing canoe and also radio control sail a quarter scale laser. During the lockdown I am not permitted either on the water. This app is great for breaking up the boredom and is almost identical to sailing the model boat. I can’t say it is making me a better sailor but it is making me less of a pain around the house!
