Here's how it works...
You read from a script while filming yourself in high definition. The prompter script (or autocue) scrolls next to the camera lens, helping you make eye contact with your audience.
They won't know you're reading from a script!
After recording, you can edit your video - add your logo, resize for social media, replace background using a green screen, add text and automatically caption the video using the timings from your recording (or export a .srt file for uploading captions on social media). You can even add a background music track using our royalty-free audio.
The 'floating' mode allows you to overlay the script on top of other apps, such as the native camera app. It's perfect for live streaming on social media.

This is a great prompting app – really straightforward and easy to use – I was up and running straight away and as quickly as I wanted to be without any issues, having imported some text as my script. I was underway recording my piece to camera – a short 45 second video - really easily (the re-takes due to fluffing lines is another matter…). The flexibility of the settings in terms of the size and layout of the script, control of scroll speed – they’re all really good features and all together make it just really easy and simple to use. And my final single-take, fairly close head shot piece to camera appeared fluid and quite seamless, with a natural eyeline.I was encouraged by the other positive reviews – I can now add to those quite happily - and also by the developer’s responses to some of the queries – Phil’s use of “I” rather than “we” made me think there was a real person who would respond if I did have any issues (I didn’t) rather than a faceless organisation’s impersonal help desk. Can definitely recommend this app.

This is a great app. Having tried a few similar apps I kept going back to this one. Many others over complicate things. But it has a few issues that I hope it’s developer looks into. 1. Files support has limited amount. So if you have lots of documents in Google Drive it will not show you them all. Putting the file that is outbid the top list into a folder is a work around but id rather have the full list available. 2. Resync edited google docs would be nice to them be able to update your script instead of downloading it again. 3. IPad support needs improvements. The video capture is full screen so it’s hard to adjust your shot when the left and right sides are cropped. Copy how the stock camera app does iPad landscape full view with borders and maybe have a toggle in settings to have it uncropped or full screen view. 4. Has a setting to override sound output. So you can keep your mic plugged in but still have the ability to watch your video back to check audio levels. 5. Option to Display audio recording levels. This doesn’t have to be too fancy, just to visibly see that the microphone is working without the need to do a recording first.I hope its developer considers these important missing features.

I’ve been using this for a while and it is so good. I bought a remote to go with it which I turn on and off as needed to control scrolling speed. The combination of both makes recording a doddle. Having the text scrolling by the side of the camera also makes it look as if I’m speaking directly to the audience. All I need to do now is sort out lighting to get shadows off my face and to make green screen use effective. I also appreciate Phil’s regular email advice.

Quite the worst text editor I ever used.

The TelePrompTer part of this app is very good it is feature rich and Teleprompts well. However importing or even creating scripts is an absolute nightmare. If you choose to create your scripts using the in built text editor you will end up screaming it simply does not work. It will let you enter text at what ever the insertion point is, but it won't easily let you change the insertion point unless the keyboard is hidden. But as soon as you touch the screen to change the insertion point the keyboard. pops up grrrr..... It is the same with selecting text you can only do that with the keyboard hidden but again as soon a you touch the screen up pops the keyboard. Double grrr.If you, like me, revert to using Microsot Word and import the script it removes all the colour coding you have meticulously put in and converts all the paragraph markers to carriage returns. Then you are forced to use the in built editor with all the faults I have mentioned.I have to qualify this by saying I have and iPad 2, which may be the cause of some of these issues. I have an iPhone 6s but the screen is so small and my eyesight so bad I can't see the text. and hence can't use it.. But come on Phil try harder.

Hi James, I'm sorry to hear you've had a bad experience. I suspect a lot of your frustration is due to your iPad 2 which is still using iOS version 9.3.5. This is a very old operating system and many apps have stopped supporting it. I am working as hard as I can to keep the app available for that version but am aware of a few areas which don't work as well as they could - script editing being one. I'm still working under the assumption that something is better than nothing but I'm sorry that it is causing frustrations. I feel a 2 star rating is a little harsh in the circumstances?
In this update, we fixed a bug where the microphone indicator and audio waveform could behave incorrectly during voice recognition. We also made a few minor stability improvements behind the scenes. Thanks for using the app :)
