When I first signed up there was a problem with the payment being taken by Apple App Store. So the app wouldn’t load. Initially tried to delete and reload the app, nothing seemed to work, very frustrated therefore. I reported it to the developer who were very quick to communicate and they then helped get it sorted. The app itself was easy to set up as a second line with a second voicemail message. So I can’t give 5 stars because there was the initial problem but that wasn’t the fault of the app or the developer.

I originally chose this app to provide me with a second number for a previous job, as I didn’t want to give my personal phone number to colleagues, suppliers, etc for work purposes (no work phone was provided and I was expected to use my own handset). I didn’t want to have to carry two phones with me when I briefly considered buying a separate handset and SIM.After some research I discovered Another Number and decided to give it a go. I loved being able to choose my own virtual second number, and configuring the app was very straightforward. It was very easy making and receiving calls and texts via the app. The only slight downside was that I couldn’t use my second number with WhatsApp, so I had to join my team’s WhatsApp group using my personal number, but otherwise it did everything so needed it to.I cancelled my subscription after that job came to an end, and recently started a new job which requires a number to use with customers, suppliers etc as (again) work mobiles aren’t provided. My new manager suggested setting up a second eSIM, but I really like the functionality provided by Another Number, such as scheduling Do Not Disturb hours (including auto-replies to texts). The good news is my new employer offered to cover the cost of my subscription for the app, which I happily accepted.I’ve added my Another Number virtual number to my work email signature & Teams status, and would happily recommend the app to anyone needing a separate number for work or similar purposes.

As a frontline Paramedic I used find myself using my own phone to make calls whilst at work. This could be calling GP surgeries to make an appointment for a patient or calling and speaking to a patients next of kin. I would usually withhold my caller ID however sometimes in the heat of the moment I would forget and other times I will need someone to call me back.Over the last few months I have been using Another Number app and it has completely solved all of these problems! I can now not only protect my personal number but I can also receive calls back as well. I have also made use of the facility to record a personalised answerphone message related to my role. It quite literally gives me all the functionality of having a secondary work phone without the hassle of carrying and charging two phones and the ease of using a device your used too. The app is easy and intuitive to use. I really like the fact the app comes with a separate address book which I have used to have my work related contacts in. I can now quickly find the right number and call out as easily as when using my normal phone functions. I did think that it might be clunky and difficult to use but it’s the exact opposite. I would highly recommend this service to anyone who has the need for a work phone/ number but would rather only use one device. It’s something I plan to continue using into the future and have recommended to my colleagues.

Great second number app!

I signed up to this app to use for my business and I’m loving it so far. Support helped me port in my number with virtually no down time, and even imported my customer contacts for me. I wanted something that kept my business separate without running dual sim as this just lumps all the texts and calls together with no way to differentiate them. I love the do not disturb function also and the way it can auto reply to texts! Really happy so far, I would definitely recommend if you need a business number and want to keep everything separate!
