Msecure 6 Premium
Fireblade31
I have been a user of Msecure for a number of years and versions , I have recomended it to friends if you havent used a password manager they are excellent in a world we we have loads of passwords you would never remember its a no brainer , like you loose your credit cards and the only details are at home and you are 3 hrs away and have no details , they are all with you like bank details , driving licence, passport numbers , Car insurance and thats before you start on web sites, Msecure has been value for money can be as technical as you want to go with options to add your own templates, and you can set it to dissolve everything after 5 failed attempts if you lose you phone, Its now to be a yearly or monthly subscription but in line with the others , It will take simple web logins to your mothers maiden name in bank security questions , you need it all and it may as well be with you all the time , Its AES encrypted so cannot be hacked as I understand it, finally it syncs with your PC , Pad and Phones which means it istantly updates Ideal for basic to advanced sers you get back what you put in give it ago

Confusing & unintuitive. Upgrading was a waste of money

Having been using mSecure very happily for many years I was nervous about upgrading to mSecure 5 and very pleased when the upgrade appeared to go without a hitch. But after a few months of using mSecure 5 I still find the new version baffling. Some transferred items seem to have elements listed under different / unhelpful headings and I am finding setting up new entries less striaght forward. Recently, I was unable to record a new item fully as the format just wouldnt let me enter the details I needed to record, even when I tried using custom headings. And as for syncing - I'm tryng to sync across a Macbook, iPad and iPhone and I no longer trust that any changes I've made on one device appear on all my other devices. Having had the same syncing problem today, I'm so glad I kept the old mSecure going, because I am now going to give up on mSecure 5 and stick to using the old version. Upgrading was a waste of money.
Works for me

First got mSecure over 10 years ago, before switching from Windows to Mac (in 2012). It worked then and gave a smooth transition to Mac (with iPhone and iPad). Delayed switching to version 5 as I was happy with the old layout (and Dropbox sync). I didn't want a password manager that linked into my browser, even now. I let keychain manage non-critical logins only; v5 has some quirks but nothing that got in the way of effectiveness.Update for v6: I initially took away a star for the subscription model - but the launch documentation was ambiguous and those upgrading from v5 lose nothing. The confusion was quickly fixed and I can accept the necessity to pay for ongoing development and support, and it's very competitive: I'm surprised mSecure is so rarely featured in password app reviews... but also pleased as it keeps it below the radar for hackers!

Sorry to hear you're having an issue. Unfortunately, the UI wasn't as clear as it could've been with respect to the update. All previous v5 paid users are grandfathered into a free Essentials account which includes all features (and more) of v5. You're not loosing anything even if you decide subscriptions aren't for you. The trial that you're seeing is for a new set of advanced features and we hope that you'll find enough value with these features that you'll choose to subscribe but that is completely optional. Once the trial is over, you'll become an Essentials account and, again, there is not added cost to you. I hope this clears up this issue and sorry that this wasn't as clear as it could've/should've been.
A long time user of msecure

We are long time users of msecure (3&4) - and paid to use it ages ago. Finally upgraded to the new version. To be fair, tried to upgrade previously but did not work on all my devices, so had to roll back - but the team were good at refunding the payments made at that time.It does all we need - with passwords synced across my mac, ipad and phone (syncing via wifi to home mac). But it is not approved for use on my work laptop. But I prefer to use msecure than the one we have for work, so have for personal use on my non-work PCs/phone.Downside: although there is a free version, this was not suitable for my use (many of features we'd been using were only in pro version), and there was not a reduced subscription/license for existing users. The new UI is a bit clunky on the mac, the screen showing passwords in the old version, in my opinion was easier - perhaps the new version does have better filters/layout and I've yet to find it? The old version let you change the type - can't see how to do this in the new version.
