UPDATE: After helpful emails with the Support team, this issue was resolved satisfactorily. The app seems to be working as it should and communicating with the blood pressure measuring device as it should. So full marks to the Support team.HOWEVER, it would be even more helpful if there was an abundantly clear warning with the installation process of any updates IF a complete deletion of all residuals of the previous version(s) is needed. That’s the catch in all of this.Original Review: If you update to the most recent version of this good piece of software, you will be driven to distraction by the continuous request to “migrate old data” to the new version…even if you create a new account, it still asks you to do this. But then it won’t migrate the data - no matter what you do. And you can’t get any further into the app, and so the it effectively becomes totally useless because you go round and round in this never ending cycle of this stupid migration request!

Thank you for your feedback. The issue you're experiencing may be due to having the old version of the app still installed. We recommend uninstalling the old version and ensuring that only the latest version is installed. This should resolve the continuous "migrate old data" request. If the issue persists, please contact us for further assistance.
Intermittent sync issues

The product and app is great. I do check my blood pressure regularly and monitor my results on a daily basis when I can. However I believe the app and the synchronisation with the phone app via Bluetooth should be improved. The issue I have is, I take my blood pressure, but there is no indication on the app that my machine is connected to the app. I get to know it is not connected when I don’t see the results on the app. I have to then press the connect button on the machine and wait for it to pair again and then the data syncs. It would be nice to know before hand to show on the app that it is either trying to connect or it is not connected. The app should indicate that I am connected then I can take my blood pressure. Furthermore, the app should have real time synchronisation with the machine. So while the machine is measuring my blood pressure it should show the same on the app in real time, so I don’t have to see the little screen on the machine but I should see the same on the phone app in real time, like a mirror image of the data on the app or something on those lines.

The previous app was simple and easily linked to hardware (we have the scales and BP devices) - the old app have a simple interface to transfer readings and feed into the native health app. This new version is trying to be a total health monitoring app - and failing the user who just wants an ongoing record of their readings. Syncing is slow and seems to be looking for all devices when the app is started (and for us, usually fails).I don’t like the nags for subscribing - I’m not a hypochondriac. If OMRON want to market a full service, offer two apps - one for the full subscription deal and a second, simpler, one that just provides the interface.Update (May 26): The latest update has simplified it (which I like) but doesn’t have any way (that I can see) to customise what it now shows. My home screen includes measures it once copied from the Apple Health app I don’t need it to show (and is data from several years ago). Since I can’t remove it, I’ve tried allowing it to update from the Health app in settings, so the data is at least current, but it doesn’t. Maybe I’m fussy.Update (June 26): Brilliant! Today’s update has lost all my data.

Much to like but disappointing lack of some favourite features.

I agree with much of what has been already said about this disappointing ‘upgrade’. I do like the colour coding now used for blood pressure readings. This allows instant recognition of which band the readings fall into. I also like the facility to write longer notes. However, gone are the facilities to record sleep, fruit and veg intake, and medication. The biggest lost feature is the very useful graph system that others have mentioned now being part of a paid for premium service. Fortunately, I saved all my old data before migrating to this new app but all data from now on will be in spreadsheet form that does not allow us to spot trends, spikes or troughs easily. Personally, I am not prepared to pay a monthly premium for something I thought I had ‘purchased’ when I first bought the hardware monitor. Swings and roundabouts for me - some improvements but big losses too.
