Never trust live stats on a Bookmakers site.

Since getting serious into using live stats in play for my football betting, I quickly learned the Bookmakers live stats are totally different to dedicated sites like SofaScore. I then realised, it’s in the bookmakers best interest to show a team doing better when in reality they where getting battered, because punters would place bets based on those bookmakers stats.But there a million and one sites that give live stats and it’s knowing which one you can trust. It’s quite possible a bookmaker owns a website that gives the same information that’s being shown on the bookmakers, so you need to be careful.Rest assured, SofaScore is independent and the stats available are unbelievable in comparison to bookmakers. Get better stats and you can get better indications on what’s likely to happen.Indeed, there are websites that do all this for me and all you do is decide how much you want to bet, but they are expensive at something like $50 a month. With SofaScore, you do the research yourself but you know you can trust yourself to. Having software dissect the information always feels you are not getting all the information you want.So ok, SofaScore might not be the crème de La crème of stats, but it’s the best for presentation of those stats and I can quickly find what I want and act on that immediately, which could be a benefit if I want to bet on something based off the live stats before an actual goal is scored.My new In-Play site is super successful at the moment and it’s all thanks to SofaScore. For in play stats, for me, it’s the best out there for free to.Plaza

Was perfect before update

This app was absolutely perfect before the update. They’ve introduced ads, which I get and am not complaining about directly, but the ad placement is very intrusive. Sometimes it’ll appear mid-league, so when you see the ad (which is large and intrusive), you think it’s the beginning/end of the league and cuts a huge amount off the viewable league. I’d rather it be at the end or beginning of the league, so I can clearly see all matches in that league.The newest addition of the ‘commentary’ tab I can see can be useful for some, but think it should be after the ‘lineups’ tab. This introduction has joined second after the ‘details’ tab. For me, I find the details and lineups tabs the most important, as the most important information are on those two tabs. Anything ‘major’ is in the details (main tab). So having this extra ‘commentary’ tab should show third to lineups rather than second to it.All round, an incredible app that I use all the time and will continue to use, but as a developer myself, think it could be slightly better. To each their own, I could be wrong in terms of importance but that’s my opinion 🤷🏼‍♂️

Great application, but...

I have used this application for at least 2-3 years on my mini IPad and not only that it worked perfectly but I have found all the information I wanted regarding matches, mostly football which I'm interested in, but also other sports (e.g. handball, hockey, NFL, tennis, etc.), players, statistics, for all this things I would have given 5 stars. But, for some reason it didn't work in the last couple of months, I'm assuming it's probably a new update and it doesn't even open anymore since, and now it says that it's not compatible with my IPad !!! For this reason I'm only giving 1 star. Hope the developers could reconsider this.

Great application, but...

I have used this application for at least 2-3 years on my mini IPad and not only that it worked perfectly but I have found all the information I wanted regarding matches, mostly football which I'm interested in, but also other sports (e.g. handball, hockey, NFL, tennis, etc.), players, statistics, for all this things I would have given 5 stars. But, for some reason it didn't work in the last couple of months, I'm assuming it's probably a new update and it doesn't even open anymore since, and now it says that it's not compatible with my IPad !!! For this reason I'm only giving 1 star. Hope the developers could reconsider this.

Have been a paying Sofascore user for years. For the most part, it does its primary job well - Quick and easy to consume live sporting updates for all your favourite competitions and teams. The presentation of all this information is logical and navigable and has all you’d expect in terms of configurability to pin and follow teams and individuals that matter to you.Unfortunately, the above formula, which has kept me paying, seems to be getting changed for the worse. The apps more recent updates have repeatedly changed the UI and layout. The key events for a match on the main details tab has slowly become less readable. The most 'eye-catching' part of the event feed being the 2d demo/replay feature when a goal is scored. Probably the part I least care about when looking at that page. There is less distinction between each event and the iconography seems smaller and less detailed than before. All this making the page feel less structured and degrading the experience. The preview screenshots on this app store page even show the old version of the details tab... Except thats not what you will get. Many of the other screens are suffering from the same sort of things i've described above, which is a great shame.The second criticism (and main one from my position) is the progressive infestation of betting/odds and gambling. Forcing me to swipe past an entire screens worth of odds just so I can find out what the lineups are for an upcoming match is not OK. I don't care for gambling, I've seen first-hand what it can do to people. A recovering addict basically can't use this app anymore. There was a setting that could be configured where you could 'Hide Odds', but this doesn't hide the Odds tab. I find it difficult to think this is an oversight, and more a design choice. Which is a disappointing prospect - The idea that Sofascore seems more interested in pushing gambling engagement is something that is making me seriously consider renewing my subscription. Currently I am trialing FotMob in contemplation of a switch. Its a real shame as Sofascore has been my go-to for years.
