I would never pay £9.99 for an app on anything. I also never leave app reviews. Always thought they were a waste of time.I’ve been using the free version of this for 16days and have now paid for my first expensive app and I love it. It’s really helped me manage my food in terms of quantities and making sure I get the right amount of protein each day. You’re right, it is stupid simple, which is why I like using it.Just started using the scanning feature but I’m presuming it recognises more items from the US than UK so it would be nice to see this over time. Also things like sweet potato (I think you call them yams?) aren’t in the food list. Overall a very simple and convenient app to use. I’ve referred onto 3 other people already. And all the other stuff I tried it the App Store is rubbish in comparison to this. Ways to improve - search by brand feature would be nice. And the option to have items in duel categories e.g milk in dairy and drink rather than one or the other.

Has it quirks, but it’s helpful and a better deal doing a one off payment for premium service then paying a monthly subscription plus I think it does better then some of the AI APPS

Unusable due to apparent glitch

When an ad pops up, the ‘x’ button to close the ad seemingly fails to load. I’m met with a never ending loading wheel instead while the ad plays and finishes, even after that, I still can’t click off the ad window. If I shut down the app and reopen it, the cycle immediately repeats. This renders the app completely unusable. My phone’s a bit older, iPhone 12 Pro Max, but it’s fully up to date, as is the app. Tried deleting and reinstalling to no avail.

I used to use and pay for this app about a year ago, but stopped tracking my calories for maybe 10 months. Wanted to start again so I purchased the monthly membership but I’m unable to use the app at all since I’m stuck in an endless ad loop. I have tried reinstalling the app but it always opens an ad that I cannot close. Extremely frustrated as this wasn’t an issue when I used the app in the past. Making this app completely unusable.
This version has dramatically improved startup speed and resolves date formatting issues.
