The only con I can place on this app is that it costs money to read at a regular pace, otherwise you have to wait for a free pass each day. It will probably take me 2 months to finish the last volume that I need which if I wasn’t already invested would make me throw down. I managed to find the book and first two volumes that I was reading for free on another website but now to finish the third volume I have to wait. To be honest I’m irked but I’m willing to do it because I loved the books: married to the devil’s son and return of the devil’s son. The grammatical errors are a tad nauseating but the technique behind it is really good and I read it solidly for 4 days because I couldn’t drag myself away. I love the comments that readers can leave on paragraphs along the way, they’re funny and involving without having to interact with people but still enjoying their reactions. Some use it as a tool to correct grammar, spelling or reword the writing and others use it to call out toxic masculinity or cat call the occasional naughty content depending on what book you read. It makes it feel very inclusive and to a degree I missed that on the free site. It does what it needs to but when there are free sites that offer online reading I feel this site is a tad exploitative to ask for money.

I’ve been using this app for years and it was good and I’ve read a lot a lot of books on it, yes it’s expensive but it wasn’t too bad for my circumstances but over the years the app has changed things some for the benefit of the app and some which weren’t too bad but are annoying like the site-wide banners that you can’t dismiss when someone donates a lot of coins and when you complete a mission it puts a banner at the top of the screen for a couple of seconds that you can’t dismiss, not a big deal but it just peeves me. Recently though I logged onto the app to find ads on it which are removable by buying the membership, the membership has been around for quite a while without the ads and you get a few bonuses for getting it but nothing really worth it, but now they have put ads in to annoy people into getting it, which I can understand from their point of view as it adds quite a lot of sustained income but although it wasn’t as stable as a subscription it may as well be one for people that want to read on their site. I don’t have any data but I would have thought with the amount they make out of coin purchases that they wouldn’t need to add ads but I guess greed is always present in a company. That it says the subscription is to support the authors is a joke as well, I doubt they get a substantial portion or any of the money that people pay for the membership. Alright this is the end of my all one paragraph rant that I can’t be bothered to format correctly on an iPhone. Hopefully the ads get reverted but I doubt they will. Thanks for reading

App is good and nice toMain problems I have are the extortionate amounts of money the app needs you to pay in order to read a full 200 chapter long novel or you need to wait for years only using your for on that one book. Second is the fact that nearly all books on the app go premium extremely quickly, with most going at about 50-60 and the ones in the new arrival novels section going premium at chapter 20. Tbh the number of fast passes you get has been constantly dropping as well, so now you only get on average ~2 a day. The genre specific fast passes are ridiculous as you then get fast passes for genres you have 0 interest in. Finally I would like to point out how some novels are straight up stolen from the original creators and posted on the site and then locked behind a paywall. This is honestly really unfair to the original creators.

There needs to be an option to just purchase the book and for a reasonable fee most books on kindle you can get for under £5 so I started reading this book (The vampire system) and I’m really enjoying it then all of a sudden I can’t read any further and apparently i need coins to unlock more chapters so I take a look there is various options to buy bundles of coins so I spent £5 on a bundle thinking that should easily be enough to finish this book and maybe start another I couldn’t have been more wrong since then I’ve used all of those coins just reading the same book and I’ve still got 129 chapters to go currently it seems to be 7 coins per chapter (they are quite short chapters) so I’m going to need over 900 coins to finish the book and that’s assuming that the cost/chapter isn’t increasing the further into the book you get and @ £9.99 for 500 coins to finish this book it’s going to cost me another £20 on top of the money I’ve already spent you can buy a physical copy in hardback for less than that when a book is fist released. This system it taking us all for mugs. I’m gutted because I really am enjoying the story but I’m not willing to spend any more money certainly not the amount required to finish the book. Now I am aware that if you “log in” every day you get a free pass to read another chapter or maybe a few chapters but once you get reading and are into the book you want to just keep reading which is they way it’s designed get you hooked then you buy coins to keep reading before you know it you’ve spent more than what a normal book would cost just to read a 1/3 of the book it’s basically just a massive SCAM
