How it works:
1. Record sound using your device’s microphone
2. Play the recorded audio normally or reverse it for a unique listening experience
Perfect for fun, creative projects, or audio experimentation!
When playing audio, you can change
- playback rate (Range: x0.5 to x2.0)
- pitch by a half tone (Range: -2 octave to +2 octave)
This app can import an audio file from other apps by share action or from Files app.
Supported files: wav, mp3, mp4, m4a, aifc, aiff, caf, flac
Saved audio files are also accessible from Files app:
Files app -> On My iPhone/iPad -> Reverse Play -> Audio

If you want something to do in your free time, Reverse Audio gives you an opportunity to challenge yourself by recording yourself mimicking your reversed audio, then reversing that to hear the original audio. + in general, a simple audio reverser app like Reverse Audio gives you the basic sticks and rocks to improvise mini-games like this with just some skill and imagination. I know, nobody thought a simple mechanic like reversing recorded sounds could bring some joy into your life, but here it is.

Having spent some time trying I haven't been able to export the audio forwards instead of backwards, meaning that I can't use it to export regular audio. Additionally, it would be nice to be able to import anything (as this would also negate the above issue, as one could re-import the reversed version and export it normally)A (clearer) way to do this would be nice but everything else works and it does what it says on the figurative tin, so five stars despite this problem.

It’s an amazingly fun app, and I entertained myself for hours listening to my voice backwards. I secretly recorded a conversation between me and my friend and when we listened back we both burst out laughing! Only one improvement I can think of: could you add a way to upload songs from Apple Music/Spotify/Amazon Music or whatever suites you?For anyone who thinks they should download, then, well, do!

Whenever I go on this app I use it for videos for “guess what I’m saying”, you can say literally anything and it pops up with what you say backwards.I also love that you can make sure you have said the right thing before reversing it with the “play recorded button” I truly think this is a well made game and comfortably relaxing and easy to use!
