Your notes, on a timeline. Award-winning Agenda links notes to your calendar, keeping meeting prep, project plans, and decisions connected to their time.
Most note apps forget time. You jot something down, it vanishes into a folder, and days later you can't recall why you made that choice or what you prepped for that meeting.
Agenda changes this. Each note sits on a timeline with your calendar. Get ready for next week's client meeting, capture decisions as they occur, and review exactly what brought you here — all in one glance.

YOUR NOTES, LINKED TO YOUR CALENDAR
Attach any note to a date or link it directly to a calendar event. Mark notes as "On the Agenda" to highlight them in a dedicated view — your shortlist of what matters now.
A TRUE TEXT EDITOR
Headings, lists, tables, checklists, indented blocks, and preformatted text — with the ease of plain text input. Concentrate on your writing; Agenda manages the appearance.
FILES, PHOTOS, AND LINKS
Attach files and images to any note. Everything syncs across your devices and can be previewed inline.
SMART NOTES
Ask questions about your notes using Ask Agenda. On the Mac, connect agents like Claude or Codex via the Model Context Protocol (MCP) to automate the entire app.
PROJECTS AND CATEGORIES
Group notes into projects, group projects into categories. Drag to reorder, collapse to focus, or let the timeline organise for you.
MAC, IPAD, AND IPHONE
Agenda syncs across all your devices via iCloud or Dropbox. Share individual notes for real-time collaboration — ideal for team meetings or shared lists.
FREE TO USE, FOREVER
Agenda is free with no time limits. Premium features are available through a yearly subscription — and you keep every feature you unlock, even if you cancel. A one-time lifetime purchase is also available.

Editors’ Choice
A note-taking app that stands out thanks to its clever use of time. You can attach a specific date to each note you create, tie a note to an event already on your calendar or organise your notes on a timeline, making it easy to tap a specific date and find the note you created.
Amazing app for the Mac...

Agenda on the Mac really is what Apple’s ‘Notes’ should be. As with all note taking apps which are competing in the app store, the key to success is to have the right combination of additional features without pushing the boat out too far that it becomes a large cluncky mess of ‘power-ups’. Agenda does this well while also steering away from over simplifying, which is what a lot of recent note apps have done taking the current minimalist trend a bit too far. My only request would be for the addition of a list of used tags in one of the side bars. Somewhere you can view and purhaps click on the tag to view notes with that tag in it? This is similar to search, except with search you need to know what to type. It would be useful for example if you were looking for a product schedule you created previously. While searching for the tag you might search for ‘product schedule' or ‘product plan’, having forgot you used the tag #LauchTimeline
Developer Response
That's great feedback, glad you like Agenda! We certainly have plans to make tags more powerful and get better overviews based on tags (while making sure we keep the lightweight approach to note taking).
Agenda helped me write my Phd
cronnyberg
I absolutely love agenda. I used to use apple notes or a physical notebook in my early university years, but I realised when I applied for a Phd I would need something much more robust. Four years later, and I can honestly say Agenda has changed my life. I have different categories for thesis work, other work, personal stuff etc, and within those categories I love all of the options available for sorting my thoughts. I'm not traditionally the most organised person, but Agenda makes it so much easier. For example, the filing system is so intuitive that it really helps working on the fly. Jotting an idea down on the phone and having it instantly organised on my laptop is incredible for inspiration-based work like writing, and all of the editing tools allow for intuative adaption to different project styles and purposes. I also love the developer updates and communication - this is one of the most transparent apps I have ever worked with, and the new features they bring out are clearly community driven. The ability to open notes in new windows in the most recent update is the icing on the cake - I've been wanting it for ages, so to finally see it executed so well is just awesome.Thank you agenda team, keep up the good work!
Fills an (almost) perfect gap in my workflow

Agenda suits me, and fills an important gap in the way I work. I’ve used many, many to do apps finally finding one I’ve settled with. However, my work, and conversations with clients, can be quite involved. Agenda enables me to take notes, file them for reference in a way I find logical, but also gives me ‘timeline’ management. As an example, I can take in-depth notes during a phone conference with clients, retaining and accessing again everything to do with that specific project. I can then flag that note for a date in a few days time when I will need to refer to the notes either for further discussion or to work on the project. It has both the detail and flexibilty required when juggling a number of clients and projects. It’s an excellent combination. The only reason for 4 stars rather than 5? Minor, the app defaults to the small window in the middle of my screen when I reopen it, instead of the larger view with both panels open as I left it. The more major is the lack of an iOS version. I see that it’s a high priority, but without it what could be a major part of my workflow isn’t firing on all cylinders. As for cost, well, ultimately the better organised I am the more effectively I’m working. Whether it’s possible to create enough features to warrant future subscriptions without it becoming too bloated remains to be seen. That said, the efficiency is perhaps enough justification.
Developer Response
Really happy to hear you like Agenda so much and thanks for the detailed insights in how you use it! We are hard at work to get you the iOS app as soon as possible. Regarding the window restoring, please contact us in the agenda.community, this seems to be a preference corruption issue or Agenda doesn't have the rights to write its preferences. We can send you instructions on how to fix it.
