Amazing game, but 4 stars.

I used to love this game and I would love to use it every day. The thing that made me put it at 4 stars is that the “play” section doesn’t really have much fun to it. Although, that’s not the only reason I put a 4 star review. Second of all, the old dinosaurs are now shown in “Previous Collections” and all of them show to be “unlocked”. What I don’t like about this is that most of the JW and JP toys I have are from JW and are old. So they show up in “Previous Collections”. I used to love the game SO MUCH because of the detail that you USED to have in JW play where you could see so,e facts about your dinosaur. You can do this in previous collections. The newer dinosaurs do have facts, but are not as fun. They’re more just like the weight origin size and stuff like that. It used to be interesting facts about the dinosaur like its behaviour topics.

I absolutely ADORED this as a kid. I would be on it for hours just checking out the cool dinosaurs to decide which toy I was gonna get next. Back the. I had nearly every dinosaur since my collection of the toys was insane. I haven’t been on in a while, but I have seen a lot of people saying the scan doesn’t work, even though it worked for me all that time ago. It seems there are a few bugs or issues that have turned up recently, but I’m glad this still gets updates occasionally and isn’t left to die out. At this point I definitely don’t have every dinosaur, since there have been SO many new toys! Despite the issues, this remains a beloved memory.

It’s horrendous you need to buy a whole toy, it doesn’t work anyway. Lucky I have an old indoraptor on my desk and it’s Mattel with the little DNA symbol on its foot, if not I would of instantly deleted it. I was there for 20 minutes trying to scan the foot but nothing, I even noticed a help icon that tells me how to scan it and what it does but still it doesn’t work. And apparently the kaprosushus lives in water and stands on 2 feet? And a pachysefalosaurus doesn’t head but predators. Also the indoraptor is confirmed male and not female like all the other Jurassic world dinosaurs. Looks like this was created so more kids buy your toys and you get more money by making a game with no effort put in. I was exited to see ripper (my indoraptor toy) come to life but it won’t work and there should be a way to unlock them that isn’t using loads of money just to see a dinosaur on a screen acting realistic. Get Jurassic world alive instead because that’s free and it also tells you about the dinosaurs.

Unfortunately I appear to be unable to actually progress beyond the introduction on the app (where Mr DNA is walking you through the park, it goes to the section where he states “these are all the dinosaurs in the park. Let’s take a look at them”; it then asks you to click on the first dinosaur but you cannot do this and cannot progress) so I can only give it a one star and say you should avoid. I’ve tried this app on 2 iPhone 11s (all updated) and a new iPad (updated) with no success, so it’s clearly a fundamental issue with the app itself.Can this be fixed? My children are mad about Mattel toys and wish to scan their dinos, but clearly cannot due to this error.
