Great Game - Improvements Would Help

Loving the game at the moment, only just got into it but already seems like a great unique game. Some players have been complaining about the delivery times, but if they were lowered then you would end up completing the game in a few days, so I support the choices. A few improvements could be done, at the start of the game, not sure if this applies to later game stages, but I end um with around 2000 common parts for my trains and 0 rare, epic and legendary parts. I like the crate feature and scrapping features. However in order to progress slightly further and be able to focus more on upgrading your games to make the grind slightly more enjoyable. I think you should be able to scrap any trains regardless if its the only one or not. You should also be able to turn your lower quality parts into higher quality parts e.g 10 common parts = 1 rare partI hope the developers notice this as I believe this would improve the players experience, and deal with some of the current issues. Anyone looking to install the game, do as its a great unique experience.

Started playing this and things were going at a decent pace but only after a day of playing it has now become a MONOTONOUS crawl! You log in, start your trains, of which there are only 4 train drivers until you reach level 15 when you get the option to buy ONE more. Send them out on a job where most jobs (most of the time it’s ALL unless collecting coal or ore) take an hour. Some jobs require specific trains (like a legendary one) and might need 240 of something and as mine is only able to carry 26 without the option to upgrade it because the parts needed NEVER drop anywhere meaning that one job will take OVER 9 hours!!! That’s also on the first map (Britain) you start the game on! You can can small (and I mean small) bonuses by watching ads which you end up spending more time doing than actually playing the game. I’ve made it to only the 2nd map (Germany) and I’m already bored stupid so I’m about to delete it. The only way you will speed it up is to spend ridiculous amounts of money. (and not by much because you would need to continuously do it and the further you go, the more you will need to spend as what you get for your money becomes less valuable. It’s a psychological trick that all these types of games use. Make the gameplay pretty good and once you’re hooked they slow everything to a crawl incrementally as you progress meaning you will need to spend ever increasing amounts of cash to get anywhere. It’s a nasty spiral for cash grabbing developers).

As others have said, once you get over the first few levels you end up having to wait for hours until you can continue. Some jobs require a specific train and takes 1 hour. If that train can currently carry 10 but the job wants 100 pieces, the timer should start from when the last piece is delivered but it doesn’t. It starts each time you dispatch a train. Therefore that one job alone may take you: 100pieces / 10 load train = 10 hours real world time to complete. It’s ridiculous. Yes sure every 4 or so hours you can open a small crate that could possibly give you upgrade points to increase capacity of the train but it’s very few points. Furthermore as others have said when I use keys to open train crates, I keep getting duplicates instead of new trains. Some jobs require you to do 5+ missions before the job is complete i.e building a bridge and rail. It may ask for coal, then ore, then steel bars, then wooden planks etc all lasting 1 hour. As said above if your combined train capacity (for 4 trains) is 60, yet it wants 100 pieces, you will be waiting a good 2 hours just to complete mission 1 before you can do mission 2. 5 missions could mean 10hrs of waiting just to complete that job. Furthermore as others have also said, it’s just tedious. It’s repetitive. And nothing changes.

First things first, the games look and feel is great. I really enjoy sim and strategy games but often the presentation lets them down. It’s a shame that all the building are on rails (forgive the pun) but looking at the game design it would have been difficult to achieve this if it had been purely sandbox. The elephant in the room is that obviously freemium to play. There is enough early on to get you hooked but then it’s update your order, leave for a couple of hours and then come back. However I am ok with that. At the end of the day the dev team have to be able to make money from the game otherwise how do you pay the team to develop the next one?? This gets the thumbs as an enjoyable game. Guys would you consider a game where the user was able to build where they wanted?
