Absolutely Incredible Game

I was initially wary of buying this as I don't usually enjoy turn-based combat, however within a few hours of downloading this game I was so glad I had. It is unquestionably one of the greatest games I have ever played, and runs flawlessly on my new M1 MacBook Pro. Where the reviews claiming it runs terribly - or not at all - on the same machine are coming from I have no idea; I have the graphics set at the highest quality for every setting apart from resolution, which is at the second highest, and it runs like a dream. The combat is deep, intuitive and satisfying all at once, and it only took me a couple of. hours to get to grips with it even after not playing a turn-based RPG for over a decade. If you're being put-off from buying this game because the combat is turn-based, as I was for a long time, don't worry. Download it. I can't imagine anyone who likes RPGs not falling in love with this masterpiece. The level of detail put into each of the characters - including a mass of NPCs - and into the world is truly staggering. The full voicing of all NPCs, along with the narration really brings the world to life. This is a world as rich in detail as The Witcher 3, which for me stole the crown as the best RPG and all round game of all time from the Elder Scrolls games. At the moment, after owning it for only a few days, Divinity: Original Sin 2 is confidently showing itself to be a rival to The Witcher 3 as far as I'm concerned - although they are very different games. The Witcher 3 is better-suited to consoles (I found it best on PS4 as opposed to Xbox One) whereas I can't imagine playing Divinity 2 on anything but a computer. I've heard the console versions are good but it's a game that naturally lends itself to keyboard and mouse.Essentially, if your Mac can run this game, buy it. Final tip: I've heard it is better when bought from the App Store rather than Steam, despite being cheaper on the latter.
Pretty good so far

Runs very well on M1 Macbook air at nearly full settings. After a couple of hours of play the game seems fun and is allowing me to make mistakes and figure things out myself. The enviroments are beautiful and everything seems very well put together.

Very strong story driven game with excellent graphics that's hard to master but frequently has me going back for more. My only complaint is that I would rather have seen characters perform emotes rather than listen to a narrator explaining what people were doing to make it truly immersive, but other than that, have been really enjoying it despite the difficulty.
I totally underestimated this fantastic game.

Yeah, I know I bought into Macs are not good at gaming, was I wrong...This RPG game was fantastic please Larian I hope you do more and more Mac users get this. It's been so good, I will play the game again to explore all the stuff I probably missed the first time around. It's not easy and yet totally immersive. This plays smooth on my Studio Ultra and not once have I experienced a single crash so far (Im on the 4th level now). Not bad going for an Intel App running on the M1...
