Tried the app as something for prompts and planning on days when executive function is a challenge. Looked promising at first but it is a stressful experience trying to setup your own tasks and routines, as you need to know exactly when everything is, how long it lasts and checklists at each point. And there is no web app so this all has to be done on a little phone keyboard. There is no option to have an inbox or staging area to braindump activities for later or bump things back into if time slots become full with higher priority work. Once a task starts good luck staying on task; parts of routines fly by automatically even if you are still on them, you can’t control the timer and it just becomes panic-inducing as you have no control over the system if you have to take a phone call or anything. Completed activities have a patronising little bit of confetti and painfully slow animation adding friction as well. To top it off while there are some semi-useful templates, the input system is so clunky it is just as much hassle as starting from scratch, and there are contributions from some rather aggressive social media prevented who are very, very big on hammering home just how much better their (overly influencer) ways are *the* only way to do things and how can you call yourself autistic if you dare to not be like them? It just makes the whole thing seem like a clique and rather toxic. It is a nice idea on paper, but despite trying time and again Tiimo just makes me more stressed and burned out with tasks than actually fixing anything.
Dear Evil Dr Foetus, thank you for your review and we are sorry to hear that you feel this way. The web app: We would love to have a web app for all because a lot of our users have asked us for it, but we can't at this point in time, unfortunately. This is because we do not have the economic resources to build it. But we are already asking for funding that we will use to develop the web app and we hope to have it in the nearby future. An option to brain dump: We created the notes section as a feature that can be used to brain dump ideas, it is possible to convert these ideas into activities and place them in your schedule. It is also possible to turn activities that are already placed into a schedule into notes. Are you aware of this feature? You can use it as a solution for brain dump, if you are unsure of how to use it, reach out and we will gladly help you out. Planned tasks flying by: In order to counter the stress of planned activities starting automatically without the user, we have the Reschedule feature, it allows you to restart an activity when you are ready to do it, so that you and the app are in sync. You can pause planned activities if you have to take a phone call and even add additional time on them if you those planned activities take longer than the time duration you had planned. We are sorry that you did not like the confetti and the animation- we are open to ideas on how we can improve it, reach out to us on our email: hello@tiimo.dk if you have any recommendations. Clunky input system: Thank you for your feedback, it has ben passed to our team. And thank you for your feedback about our social media marketing, it has also been passed to the team- we are sorry you feel this way. Please remember that for our app, everyone is welcome to plan as they are- there is no need to follow what other people are recommending and be like them, find your now style and pace and enjoy the app, that is all we ask. We hope that you will give us another chance. Warmly, Team Tiimo
